It's called pixel art.

And you're asking if you can make that in Microsoft Paint? While I've seen some creative drawings come out of that program, it's not very useful for such techniques.

thanks but that isn't what I was talking about I was mainly asking if there was a way to make the 3D bubble effect or the different shading like how on the tom of these images they are a bit lighter than the bottom.








Also while I am at it I know that this is an animated GIF but what is it called wharn someone speeds up a video to get this effect.

Oh, it's the glass effect. I hardly saw that in the first one.

I know you're not trying to make the CS3 icon, but this is the "glossy" effect thing you want.
