this is for all those who are single or in a relationship that isn't what they really want.
i haven't dated for more than 2 years and the last girl i kissed had a boyfriend. i'm okay with being single as i'm sure many are, but i can't help but feel that i'm missing out on a life that i could be living. and to top it off i have commitment issues and catholic/christian standards for anyone i would date. i don't mean to whine and moan about my lack of romance, but can anyone else relate? edit: bump, emotions aren't an attribute of emos alone |

i know being single does feel lonely, but a relationship isn't all that better. relationships cause drama, heartache, and scars that don't heal.
i'm single, and i yearn for that warmth for holding that significant other. i miss looking at the smile that they made, or some stupid things that they did which made me happy. those high points in relationships that i had, drinking hot chocolate while watching a movie in a blanket in my house. cuddling up for warmth in the same bed cause it's cold outside, putting my jacket on her cause it's cold. drinking together and letting out emotions loose, smoking together and just relaxing on a bench... talking about absolutely nothing. going into a resturant and not saying anything, because you're happy enough that they're there with you. sitting in the car with the sunroof open, looking into the stars, planning an event and being excited since it's our anniversary. but like yin, there's always yang... jealousy, cheating, lack of trust, over obsession, sick of one another, too much partying, fights, silence, boredom, assumptions. i too had a thing about dating only christian girls, assumed that they were the best, believed in God, had morals. as i made more friends, entered college, lived on my own in jersey, there's so many out there that don't have to be called a hypocrite becuase their christian. those that are sincere and geniune without the faith of God in their hands. all i want is to find a relationship with someone, no drama, honest, and someone that appreciates everything about life and me. someone that i'd be willing to do anything for, someone who can look into my heart and know my honest feelings without feeling guilty. something so perfect that it will never exist :( |

i was in a long distance relationship, and it IS hard it really is, because whenever i pass by a couple holding hands, looking into each other eyes, kissing, holding each other, laughing and smiling with each other, and things like that, i wish that my boyfriend( well ex now) was here so that we would able to do thouse things, but he wasnt there, til next summer...and then i met this guy who is one of my best friend's best friend and now is my current boyfriend at this festival called "Taste Of Taiwan" and like at first we werent really talking to each other, but then as we talk more and more, we begin to gain interest of each other and gone on 4 dates, on the fifth one, we decided to be in a relationship with each other( and yes i already broken up with my ex) so basically every anniversary is going to be on Thanksgiving cuz we started going out on November 22, 2007 lol *n.n* and yeah so far we've been going out for about a week now and happy to be with each other! *n.n* and hopefully it would last long

i love being single
it felt so wrong being in a relationship. i'm a loner and enjoy being by myself than having something i want to brush off me. yeah, that's how i see boyfriends. i dont think im missing out on anything pertaining to relationships. i have enough crazy stories. maybe not enough to make me cry at night or write myspace blog poems about it.... lol. maybe when im older in my mid-twenties. otherwise im steering clear. |

I mean i would be lying if I said I didn't understand you. Truthfully, I wanna settle down with the girl who can make me happy. I want a girl who can make me smile for no reason, and who whenever I am around her nothing else matters. I admit that I am jealous of all of my friends because they are all in relationships except for me. They keep telling me to wait and something good will happen, but how much longer do I have to. I feel so lonely sometimes and I cover it up by doing outlandish things. Trust me bud, you are not in this alone.

im in the most loving relationship. i would never give it up.
sure i liked singlehood. nothing wrong with it. but once you meet your better half, you can't imagine life without him/her/(it?) i think teens rush into meaningless relationships. they don't appreciate their "love." maybe its good that youre missing out on that. i mean, perhaps... when someone youll actually cherish comes along, maybe all those committment issues will just fade away and it wont matter what religion/race or whatever she is. all that will matter is her. alot of babble. but im slightly disoriented from 3 days without sleep so youll have to forgive me. |

Sure can. I dated when I was seventeen and didn't date again until I was nineteen. Don't worry about it, enjoy the single life. The only sucky thing is that you're catholic morals are going to keep you from doing that... if you're a strong catholic.
