"Saturday, November 17th is the ninth annual National Survivors of Suicide Day, sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
This day is meant to reach out to the tens of thousands of poeple who have lost a loved on to suicide. Suicide awareness and prevention is a cause very close to my heart. I have lost someone very close to me to suicide. This weekend, I invite you to write LOVE (left wrist) and HOPE(right wrist) on your wrists. When people ask why, please tell them about Survivors of Suicide Day. Let's all help prevent this world from losing more people we love, and show support and solidarity with those who have already lost loved ones to suicide." [I don't plan to wash off "love" and "hope" until the end of the week.] |

Darn it, I wish I would've known about this sooner.
 I would've wrote it on my wrists. There's also another holiday like this around June I think. Its the prevent suicide walk, I believe.

I'm going to do next time. This time, you kind of told us at the last minute. I lost a family member by suicide. Everyone just wanted to punch him in the face for that.

If I wrote that on my wrists people would probably call me emo. There's so many events going on, though, I'll be decked out in pins and words. If more people were going to see me in the coming days I'd do it, but maybe next year
