Yess! After at least two years of waiting (at least for me) Gossip Girl is finally gonna be on screen. Well...the small screen at least.
The CW picked it up and it's gonna be in their fall lineup showing on...Wednesnday nights I think. Gossip Girl Link There you'll find a link to pics, a clip, etc. My opinion: It looks okay. I think they could've done better with the cast. Especially Blair and Nate. I like the girl they chose for Serena-wasn't she from girl from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? Also I'm still kinda mad at the CW for cancelling Gilmore Girls and having Rory and Logan break up, so I think that'll keep me from watching this show at least for a while-tangent I know, but I still gotta say it. xD Anyways...discuss your thoughts about it. PS: Sorry if there's already a topic on this. I know there's one in the Interests section, but yeah. |

Nate = disappointment. And I can't wait to see them put big boobs on that not-so-tiny (she's taller than Blair, for goodness sakes) girl playing Jenny. And the one playing Dan is too hunky. AND WTF, WHERE ARE THE ROSES! They can't just leave out Aaron! And the baby! That's central to the conflict between Blair and her family. Booooooooooooo.... but I'm going to watch anyway. At least the first episode.

Serena is nowhere as pretty as how I imagined her in the book. Blair is ok I guess, but the casting SUCKS. I have a feeling this show is gonna make me really sad.

One thing that bugs me is that nothing really... connects each episode except maybe the stuff with Serena and Dan. Everything else is like its own separate mini story.

i live in canada (vancouver, to be exact) and it plays on tuesdays and wednesdays. on tuedays it's ctv at 7:00pm and on wednesdays it's 9:00pm on cw. they play the same episode on tuesday and wednesdays, it's basically a re-run of the same episode. and next week's episode is 'dare devil', where jenny gets stuck in the boutique, so i'm pretty sure we aren't ahead in canada or anything :).

I honestly think I only watch this show because the girls name is Blair and my name is Blair. I can't even hate Blair when she is being a B I still can't be mad at her. The show isnt anything extra ordinary and I would never believe they were in high shcool. But I wish I was filthy rich anyway.

I would like to start watching this show, although I've heard primarily negative responses. I just don't know what to expect, because I'm an OC fan, and I don't think that this could really compare. On the other hand, I really hated The OC when it first aired. So I guess I'll have to find out.

Yeah, I'm an OC fan as well. It's still good, but not yet to see if it was better or worse than the OC. Stoopid Josh Schwartz, why'd he cancelled it! -.-"
You should give it a watch despite the negative responses you've heard. So far, there is about 4 episodes I believe so far? o.O IMO, It's not that bad. |

They brought back Vanessa, except in a horribly less-cool, less-weird, less-artsy, LESS-BALD form. A horribly diluted form of book-Vanessa. Can you tell I'm pissed off? God, she pisses me off. Honestly. Her character pisses me off. You can't possibly be pissed off at your ex-boyfriend for seeing someone else when YOU LEFT HIM. I think this is just the part of me who's pissed off that they changed Vanessa into this...non-thing that's talking. |

Oh yeah, for some reason I totally forgot about her.
 But yeahhh, I was really surprised with how they're potraying Vanessa. It's like..they just picked a random person walking on the street and slapped the name Vanessa on her and stuck her in the show. She doesn't fit with the rest of the characters for me.
