i think that if you're going to make a help topic in the support forums, you should at least have the common sense and decency to name the topic so that the "helpers" know what you need help with before going in there.
i cant count the number of times i've seen a topic like "help please" or "question" and then i go in there seeing if i can help just to find out that i cant. |

Bump.
Logical. Maybe a moderator/you should make a topic about this and stick it? |

I think its fine, actually I think theres already a rule about it o_O or there was.
I mean it makes perfect sense of course but I think no matter what were not going to be able to change it so everyone changes their topic titles to what their questions is about. Because a lot of people that ask for help in the resource center only come to ask questions get their question answered and leave. They don't really care about others in the process. |

Hmm, I'm trying to figure out how we could put out there for people to leave a brief desciption or what their problem is about in the topic title.
I mean I completely understand and I thought most people do this, for example my help topic in myspace support "Youtube videos! HELP HELP HELP" XD Anyone have any ideas? I mean we could always make a topic and pinn it and the title could have what it needs to say to get the point across, and people would view it or at least see the title. |

Nobody cares about FAQ. How about FREE REQUESTS? I mean, obviously requesting is free in some areas but people love 'free' ya know? Some kind of attraction or something.

no, seriously just close the topics and add in at the end "topic must be named to reflect the question" or w/e. eventually they'll get the point.

Nobody cares about FAQ. How about FREE REQUESTS? I mean, obviously requesting is free in some areas but people love 'free' ya know? Some kind of attraction or something. huh? u wanna trick them into reading the rules by putting the word free? i wouldn't be any more tempted to look in something before i made a help topic just because it said free, or anything for that matter. if they don't look in Myspace FAQ READ BEFORE POSTING! they aren't going to read anything else. no, seriously just close the topics and add in at the end "topic must be named to reflect the question" or w/e. eventually they'll get the point. i agree, they'll do it right if they really want help |

Yeah, just something short like "Please re-read the guidelines for posting a topic in this forum and post again with the requested information." I don't see anything wrong with doing it that way - a little harsh but it works to get the point across. We can't help them if they don't help us.

This is a good idea, as for having all the members know to edit their topics...could we try having a little notification thing on the top of the topic like in the debate forum?
