i want to make a layout that looks like
www.sandiegopunk.com
but i have no clue how to go about it
does anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

and where am i supposed to put the html for the website? the control panel on the hostgator thing doesn't have "site html" or anything..

i need a LOT of help!

http://www.hostgator.com/shared.shtml

scroll down til you see "control panel demo" and sign in demo/demo and thats what their control panel looks like..where would i go to put the layout in ? the content too?

Do you have any experience with this sort of thing? I'd certainly recommend searching for some online tutorials.

First things first is to get your layout sorted, so a design program like Photoshop/Imageready is key.

You'll need to make an index file in order to tell your host how you want your web page to be displayed. If you can't find any tutorials online about this, I'll try and walk you through the basics here.

Start with basic html tag and few designing softwares like ( Photoshop ) I will suggest you to go for w3schools.com for getting your hands on basic stuffs.
