If you are or were ever ashamed of saying that you are a virgin?

Is it different for guys to admit that they are or the other way around? huh.gif

I am a virgin and my boyfriend isn't and is alright with it.

Like said above, nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm not ashamed to say I am, I think I would kinda be if I wasn't. Maybe, maybe not. ha.

When I was a virgin, I was always proud of it. Especially when I could brag about what loser I didn't have sex with(Unlike so many other girls I knew at the time.) and I dated many losers. Although, I was always told I never looked or acted like a virgin. Some people were pretty surprised when I would admit that I was one. Oh well, people should be proud of whatever they are. If someone don't like it, they can go play hide and go f**k themselves.

I'm very proud to be a virgin. Going on 20 years now. My boyfriend's the same; we like to think we're an unusual couple in that respect.

Each to their own I guess, clarity. _smile.gif

For me, it represents a massive commitment and is something I'll always remember and wouldn't want to look back on and feel any sense of regret. I know I'm not ready for it, my two decades of life regardless!

I am proud to be one. I'm waiting till marriage, as prude-ish as that sounds. There's nothing wrong with it.

I don't think it's alright for your boyfriend to judge you because of that though.

I dont get why being a virgin wouldnt be something to be proud of.

Someone asked me about that before and I was just like "I know how to keep my pants on" and they shut up.

I'm proud to be one. So many people lose theirs to people who just come and go in their life. I'm waiting until marriage, it's the best gift you can give to your new spouse.

when i was, i wasn't. i didn't really care, though. i used to be all OOH ABSTINECE except it was pretty much.. a bunch of spoon-fed shit from sunday school. i didn't really believe it; it was just what i was taught to repeat.

now, it's just a don't ask don't tell. i'm not gonna lie to someone, but if he or she has an issue with me not being a virgin, he/she can shove it up his/her ass. mellow.gif

i think the whole "it's the best thing you can give to your husband/wife" thing is... just dumb, really. "hey, it's my first time, congrats you just took my virginity!" is bizarre to me.

to me, the best thing you can give your partner is, "i love you more than anything, anyone, everything, and everyone in the world... combined." - maybe losing your virginity to someone earlier was a mistake, but we're human. mistakes happen, and you can get over them and make up for them.

nothing complicated.

I think its disgusting for people my age to be having sex, so I won't be doing it for a number of years.

You're just f ucking retarded. You're just all indifferent and apathetic and "OH-ITS-NO'BIG-'DEAL-" attitude about it because you've lost it. Face it, that's the truth. You probably would want it back if you can.

face what? i lost my virginity, but it's not going to bring tears to my eyes every time i think of it. i'm not being all indifferent and apathetic - i think you just assumed that because you can't tell what sort of tone i'm using when i type.

i'm saying that people make mistakes, and you can't change the past... but it doesn't mean that you have to mentally thrash yourself every time it comes to mind. you can, however, commit yourself to change.

But I'm going to lose it to my boyfriend during the xmas break. He is going t lose his to me...so it's special.

I'm not ashamed to be a virgin...nor am I particularly proud of it? I'm just indifferent to it. It's just another part of me.

i know i could have easily kept mine on but i was like, what the hell, i dont think i'll keep it till marriage [seeing how i dont even believe in marriage] so might as well lose it.
