Need help looking for a tutorial, rogue text effect? Options

Um, do you guys know rouge pictures? They produced balls of fury, seed of chucky, suspense, horror movies and stuff like that? I was wondering if anyone had either a imageready or flash tutorial on the text effect they do. Kinda like a shacky, staticish effect? Thxs for the help.

Um, not really. It's the shaky/distorted effect after the letters come together at about 00:05.

Wouldn't that be more of a motion blur? That's what it seems to be to me, and to get the shaking effect they alternate which side the blur is going too.

As for the entrance of the text into the screen, they are again motion bluring, only heavily so that there is only a larger ghost outline being dragged to the placing of the letter, and then the letter is coming into focus (sharpening) and shrinking in size. They time each letter to do this at a different time so it works from the inside letter outwards.

I am not 100% sure on what effect you exactly want of this, or whether you are trying to animate the text. But i would suggest playing with motion blur the most, maybe having some letters more in focus than others. Another option would be trying to use the radial blur filter on zoom mode. Then if you want some more of the effect try messing around with the sizing and opacity of the letters themselves as well. Hopefully this will give you some idea of what types of filters to play around with. But again, im not 100% sure what you exactly you are trying to do with the text.

Um, yeah . . . right, so you guys know the grudge? You know how the girl is all freaky like when you see her on the cam? She's kinda like jerky and static like. That's how i want the text to sorta act.
