I was wondering, My best friend is going to have a baby boy next month, and she's 17.

I'm going to be in the hospital with her family, because we're close like that, ever since Elementry School.

I wanted to know, since after she has the baby you know how they stay in the hospital for like 3 days i think.

Would i be able to stay with her in the hospital overnight for one night?

does anyone know?

Yes you can _smile.gif They usually have chairs and stuff and you should be able to. I think it matters on what hospitals. Bring a bag and put it in the car and at the nurses station ask em'

If she has complications or something they may not let ya. But if everything is smooth sailing there shouldn't be a problem _smile.gif

My dad works at a hospital, so it was like my second home at one point, and then I volunteered; and my mother had a kid 3 years ago so her mom stayed over night.

a lot of hospitals are really lax in the "2 visitor" rule, and such, especially when it comes to birthings..
the mother of my godbabies was in labor while me, her mom, her two sisters, and 2 other support friends were in the room with us.

there's usually a leatherette chair for one person to sleep in, and sometimes in hospitals they have a really big window sill. i've slept on one of those before.

congrats to your friend, and a safe and healthy labor and delivery!

Yeah, you can stay. Around here, women have their babies and usually leave the same day, though. There's only a few cases where they can stay and that's usually if they have a C Section or their bloodpressure changes dramatically.
