What should I write a song about?, I need inspiration... |

My brother and I are going to put together a few songs just for fun and since I'm singing I need to write some songs. But I don't think I'm a very good writer, my songs always end up having no meaning and just being countless words strung together. I need your help

Well..if you want your songs to have meaning, then I think you should write something that is important to you rather than drawing on others for what is meaningful to them. I think it's much easier to write about something you care about personally.
Unless you're looking for someone to write the song for you. |

^ thats true, you should write about something thats important and has meaning to you, doesnt have to be for others, its also helpful to write on a theme, or a subject of the song it helps better connect then having different words that dont fit in the theme. Personally I write stuff based on my own expriences and my motivations in life, also when your hurt or in love it kinda helps to when you want to write something alon those lines, lyrics or words dont have to literally rhyme so don't let that hold you back just because words dont rhyme line for line its kinda easier to express your self in free verse it takes time, you may not like what you wrote but let other people judge it and we can help you critque, and make improvements.
