You know back in the days, when most people didn't really used photoshop or any other photo editing program. And when people took normal pics, instead of those "myspace" or scene emo angles. I miss the days when all that didn't exist, and people took normal photos. Nowadays, people look TOTALLY different from how they truly look like. An ugly person, can take a picture of themselves, and are very good at ps-sing, and make themselves look gorgeous. I wished everyone nowadays would just have normal pics of themselves without any editing, and show themselves as their true raw self. I'm just saying this, because i've been disappointed alot lately with people who i thought was cute or hot from pictures, but turned out ugly in real life, when i met them. What's your opinion about this?

That's so true. Photoshop has helped a lot of people. The different lighting and gradients. It's really frustrating. Because a lot of people look HOT in their pictures. But really they are plain jane like me. sigh.

Very, very true. Which is why I never open photoshop unless I'm making an avatar/sig/other sort of graphic.
Editing photos is lame (unless for changing to black&white). I know so many people who edit their pictures so much, and then I saw them in person and just laughed... Then whenever I go back to their myspace, I'm just like "YOU DON'T LOOK LIKE THAT!!! Though, I don't miss the days when I didn't know how to use ps. It's awesome when you're bored and want to make graphics. |

I'd have to agree, but wearing tight pants and taking mirror shots IS a scene Myspace picture.

I know it is Spencer, but I've posted normal pics of myself before, without any editing or angles.

No one Michelle. It's a generalization I just thought of. I can't make a topic that's not directed at a specific someone?

I'm ugly so I need to photoshop mine
I usually just change the color so it looks more vibrant, haha. I don't edit or change my webcam captures. |

Agreed. I edit my pictures based on color and whatnot...but thats about it. *shrug* I haven't experienced that personally, but I would find it annoying, but at the same time amusing in a way. |

My opinion is that you should shut the f uck up and quit your whining. Nothing in this life is consistent (excluding the few exceptions). So, shut your hole and you can now go slit your wrist.

Still miss natural pictures, but I guess sometimes editing your pictures for a purpose of making the picture look better to a point is okay. But sometimes when you over do it, it just sickens me.

Curious, would you think of yourself as being "cheated" if someone wore makeup to make themselves look better? And then you realized they were a fugly piece of shit underneath the makeup?
Of course I'm not comparing PS-ing to makeup. You can definitely make someone hot with PS. |

I'm not really into girls who over do it with make-up. Like Rebecca said, it's cool if they like wear mild make-up here and there. But too much, makes you look too desperate and skanky.

^ True.
But then, if you post a picture of your fat self in all its glory, you WILL be slammed by people, especially here. It's inevitable. Tips for fat and ugly people: - Try to establish a few friends around the forums - Don't be a prick, you've got to try and develop that coolness. Be nice to people. Be helpful. People will start liking you. - THEN post up photos of yourself. By that time people will be nice enough not to say anything mean, and if someone does slam you, you'll have people to back you up. If you're fat, ugly, AND annoying, be prepared for a miserable experience on cB. |

^^Well, at least they exhibit some basic guile, and thus can't be dismissed as TOO stupid for words.
Of course, if they're ugly, all this is overshadowed, but w/e |

Yeah, but it's still pretty obvious. You should expect to get shit for being fat and ugly, but it's not that hard to not post pictures.
Like that yupimchuck person: her photos aren't awful, but she's got terrible myspace angles going on, and it's not hard to tell that she's big even though the photos don't show it. |

Of course, my post was aimed towards people who were fat, ugly, mildly cool and yet insisted on posting pictures of themself.
The best advice is to just not post pictures haha. |

What I like about PS and image editing is that if you take a picture with shit lighting, you can change that.
After cropping, brightening, sharpening, and borders, I'm not really a fan of using PS on pictures that you're going to post as profile pics and expect people to think they're raw. |
