I usually wear vans with my skinny jeans and sometimes ballet flats.

I usually see slip-ons or chucks. They look fine. I think running / athletic shoes would look funny though.

I used to make the mistake of wearing my skinny jeans with my pumas. They weren't even that chunky at all, but the jeans always bunched up around the tops and made them kind of look like highwaters sometimes
 If you want to wear sneakers with them, try Keds, Vans, or any of those sneaker type flats. Converse chucks work as well. |

I wear Keds with my skinny jeans and ballet flats. You can find cute and affordable shoes/flats at Payless shoes.

I think skinny jeans only go well with flats or Converse or those shoes with semi-tiny heels.
Idk what they're called though haha. |

Just avoid any sneakers that are too chunky. The more simple, straight lines, the better. (:

Chucks or flats. For guys its ok to wear like vans or dc shoes though.
