Their new album, Bone Palace Ballet, is pretty much amazing.
Although All's Well That Ends Well is better, in my opinion.
They're so creative with their song titles, haha.
I personally love "I Didn't Say I Was Powerful, I Said I Was A Wizard."
It makes me giggle.
Opinions/thoughts on the band/albums/anything? :]

I had a friend in high school that was obsessed with Chiodos, so I would hear their music in his car every once in a while. What I heard of theirs I did like; I just haven't gotten around to obtaining their music.

Aw I wish I met Craig, for serious.
I was looking all over for him and Anthony Green.
I only got All Time Low, Cute Is What We Aim For, Boys Like Girls, and The Spill Canvas on my phone.

One of my best friends loves them, and he made me listen to them once, but I don't really remember what they sounded like. _unsure.gif
Maybe I'll go listen to them later tonight.

I don't like them.
As time goes by music gets worse and worse. It's like talent doesn't matter anymore.

I disagree entirely. Almost everything that I find the least bit creative and interesting has probably been released after 1980. Besides, all the talent in the world won't make up for a lack of vision and originality.

I do f**king hate Chiodos, though.

Maybe that's what my problem is... I just don't see the originality in all the "bubble-gum-post-post-hardcore" bullshit.

I am glad someone else on here does. Kudos to you!

i absolutely adore Chiodos.
Most of their stuff is pretty intense.
But the acoustic version of "Baby, You Wouldn't Last" is incredible.
My friend Randy got me hooked on them.

i'm not a fan, but that album cover seems very tim burton-like. it's cute.

i think the vocals are kind of whiny, but i've only heard the songs that my sister insists on playing nonstop. i don't find their work very creative or the singer talented.

i sure hope you don't mean that you don't find classical music creative, interesting, original, or visionary. i'm saying this because i've studied some classical under a humanities class and a theory class, so you can see mathematically, geometrically, even socially, and many other ways how old school music was ... interesting, for lack of a better adjective :P

i mean, look at schoenberg for example. his madness with the 12-tone scales... well shoot. it's not pleasing to my ears especially with the super dramatic baritone in survivor from warsaw, but it is definitely innovative, as beethoven and mozart and rachmaninoff also are.

elvis for example as well - he synthesized music of all genres to create his own.

it's the concept of stealing... i think it's on someone's signature somewhere here. i think it's from thoreau or emerson, i can't really say for sure... but being influenced by other people and combining different concepts and ideas have often produced visionary and innovative new styles of music that definitely don't lack in the creative department.
