I don't mean to be mean or anything, but have you attempted them yourself? I don't want to be the one who just gives you answers without you having tried first.
I will tell you the answers are the derivative of .1x and the fourth root of 625, respectively. |

for the second one, remember that 1/1/5 (ah that's supposed to be the fraction, hahaha) can also be written as 1 ÷ 1/5, so all you have to do is 1/1 ÷ 1/5, which is like...basic math.

Oh man. I am so glad I don't have math. I suck at math. I'm looking at these posts going, "Man, I'm glad I'm good at art".
Otherwise I would fail at life completely. |

You kept rewording it and turned it into dividing 2 fractions instead of saying you could divide 1 by .2.

I guess... I still think it's easier my way, though.

Yes I had try to attempt it but I don't know what I am doing. I am not asking for the answer. I am asking for the steps so I can understand how to do it next time myself.

Okay, in the first one:
1 - 9/10 Put a 1 under the 1 to make it a fraction, because anything over 1 is still the same number. Okay, so now you have 1/1 - 9/10. Use a common denominator, like 10. Multiply the numerator and denominator in 1/1 by 10, so you now have... 10/10 - 9/10 = ? ![]() |

Also I have a question. Why do you multiply the numerator and denominator in 1/1 by 10, but not in 9/10

Also I have a question. Why do you multiply the numerator and denominator in 1/1 by 10, but not in 9/10 Uh, because you just don't have to. ![]() Okay thnx. Another problem I have trouble with is 1-0.3 = ? Do I need to make it into fractions or do I just subtract? You could just subtract. You could convert it if it makes it easier for you though. |
