I'm not sure if this is in the right place or if it's already mentioned somewhere and I just skipped it.
But...
Can I report somebody who's being rude?

Are you talking about the latest comment ? I don't see that worth reporting? Why because they were just asking you a question because you wrote the tutorial. The thing is when you submit a tutorial you need to be ready to accept questions. If you're around you should easily be able to help them rather than directing them into the forums to have someone else do it for you. Especially when only you can explain it best.

Now to some extent she/he went overboard... and I agree with that but what action do you expect to be taken exactly?

Did you guys have an outside convo because it really doesn't make much sense....

actually, if you read at the bottom, it specifically says something about helping.
i PM'd him/her, but it looks like they wanted to continue it in the comments, and not privately.

You're certainly at liberty to use the report feature, but please try and be sure that the person in question is actually breaking a rule.

If you have a problem based on comments, contact a mod directly and we'll see what we can do.

What I would say, though, is that if YOU don't want it done publically, you can take it to PMs, and just not answer unless he meets you on your terms. *shrug*

I DID take it to PM. He/She just commented again.
Maybe I'm making too big of a deal of it, I dunno, but just the...idiocity of it all bothers me.

would you like us to remove the tutorial? because you should only post a tutorial if you can answer questions that come with it, as toya said

for christ sake, it specifically says at the bottom that I would only help with CERTAIN things. meaning I don't have time to explain "ok this is a DIV and your Image Map blahblahblah"
this topic can be closed.
i was just WONDERING if i could report the person. don't take it so far next time.

No one is "taking it so far", I don't really see how the person is being rude.
I checked that tutorial page and no one commented more than once, so I was thinking maybe they had commented on your profile, but I didn't see any rude comments there either.

So I guess the answer would be No, you can't report them cause they aren't breaking any rules.

edit: I see you said to close this. So, just to let you know, an Admin or head staff will close it asap.
