QUOTE
A static IP address is a number (in the form of a dotted quad) that is assigned to a computer by an Internet service provider (ISP) to be its permanent address on the Internet.

Well because this is the "what is it" topic. I have a question. I'm not new but it never crossed my mind until now. What is does little blue boxes under my avatar? Everytime I get so many postes I get an extra one. Is it an point thing, I currently have six, so I have six points. shrug.gif

^ I used to wonder that as well. They're little "pips," that indicate a certain amount of posts met. There isn't anything really significant about them, other than (like you've already noticed) them showing that you have more posts under your belt.

This doesn't belong in Feedback; Webmasters' corner, perhaps.

In any case, there's no simple way to identify who an IP belongs to. What context are you viewing the IP from? On the createBlog tracker or otherwise?
