Sorry, I couldn't think of a nifty title for this one...but don't you hate the people who give out flyers? I know whenever I go to the crowded places like Flushing or Chinatown, I get squished and on top of that have people slashing me with those damn flyers.

What do you usually do? Ignore them? Walk though them? Take them and just throw them away?

I ignore them. People that also get on my nerves are the people in Kiosks who try to sell you their phone service. I try to look ahead and see what they're trying to sell, so I can say I already have it. Best thing I've done was tell some guy I already had T-Mobile, then tell a guy a few yards away that I had Verizon.

I usually take flyers and throw them away later after I glance at it. It tends to be easier for me than trying to ignore the people especially when some still try to give it to you like you didn't see them in the first place.

I was parking in a parking lot one time, and I was looking down putting my car in park and getting ready to turn it off. I turn it off, grab my purse on the floor in the passenger side, open my door.. and sure enough, there was this lady handing out flyers for her church. She startled me so much, and I jumped like 2039423 feet in the air.

I usually just take them, and then just throw them out. If it's a situation where I see them coming up to me to hand something out to me, like in the mall or something, I'll just say, "No thank you."

I grab one just to be nice. I never follow through with the flyer, though.

I usually just say no thank you. It'd be a waste if I took it.

rofl maybe it's the part of the country that I live in, but if someone's trying to hand stuff out, I make their day a little bit easier by taking whatever they're trying to get rid of off their hands. I know when my boss sent me canvassing through the store, I couldn't end the insulting task until I handed every last flyer out. When people would refuse, it was like "wow I'm really not feeling very encouraged here, the least they could've done was take it and throw it away later." =\

So yeah, I'll take it. I don't MIND taking it. But if they're trying to sell me something I'm clearly not going to buy, I'm not gonna waste their time pretending to be interested when they could be spending that time on someone who actually might buy. I'll tell them politely that I'm not interested and keep walking if they're too persistent.

Man I love being a bitch in China.

For some reason, the flyer-hander-outers believe that going up to you and stuffing their fliers into your luggage is more effective.

When this happens, I pull out their flyer, rip it, and scream "I DON'T WANT YOUR GODDAMN PAPERS. DON'T EVER TOUCH MY STUFF AGAIN!!!" And some of those bastards even sneak a few extras in... =_=

HOLY SHAZ, Michelle. What scares me most is that I'm assuming that's not exactly rare, since they have the guts to put more in there. :/

You guys should go to UC Berkeley one day. DANG. You just have to go the main plaza where there are dozens and doznes of booths set up for various causes and DANG, going through there, whether you want to or not, you will leave with at least five papers.

I nearly always take one, neatly fold it and put it in my purse, and recycle it when I get home. I think it's super sad when people take it, then throw it into the trash right in front of the person handing it out. I mean come on....):

I'm the same. It's nice to be nice, y'all!

Just recycle it later, it doesn't cost you anything.
