So yea, you've probably already seen the tape I'm using as the header, I posted it up here some time ago, I made it in PS CS3. The GIF animations are much smoother and at the right speed in Firefox. IE6 crys like a bitch but they still work.

The profile further down I also made completely in PS CS3, same for all the rollovers.

Hand coded in Dreamweaver CS3 and after a few tweaks to get IE to not make it look like a steamy pile of shit, here it is on myspace:

Please let me know what you think, this is my first completely original layout, cheers!

EDIT: I think my favourite part of this layout is the bottom right "view all" image rollover button, haha, well good.

Was a nice steep learning curve hand coding this, definatley more confident in HTML/CSS aswell as PS CS3.

Does anyone know how to (if it's possible) add a hover state to a form submission image button? I was initially going to use that orange comment button as the rollover but I couldn't figure it out. The only way I could see it as possible is with the use of Javascript but that's a no-go in myspace world, suxorz.

Cheers, yea I think the nav brings the much needed colour, I'm pretty chuffed with the way it turned out.

i agree more color and although i'm not too fond of the nav font
the layout looks pretty awesome
just lacking and uber spacious.
Pretty creative layout though.

Yay, you got it all to work out right. thumbsup.gif

The banner looks even better, and I like how the animated curlies are only limited as an underline now, rather than forming a box.

I love the font you used for the navigation. (It's "Hard Rock," isn't it?) The whole content area doesn't look too bad. It just seems too spacious for me .. as though you could try to pull everything just a little closer together. But yeah, nice job!

Btw, for some reason, I like the comment box!

I did indeed, IE won the battle of stuborness.

It is "HARD ROCK" yea, one of my favourites.

I thinks that's one of the things about having a 2304x1440 resolution; everything is waaay way "smaller", but I'm holding off for the day when you all buy bigger monitors :P

Cheers for the feedback mate, and for trying to help with the squigly GIFs :D

Cheers.
Just look through the source of this layout, if you can't figure it out from the source then post back and I'll upload a rar'd HTML so you can see more clearly.
