"Light It Up" is a movie that came out in 1999, but I saw it today and found it to be a fantastic movie. For those who have not seen it, this movie is about 6 high school students who keep a cop hostage until their demands are heard. The students come from a poor community, and their school is almost in shambles. They study in classrooms where the windows are broken in the middle of winter and some classrooms have no heat. They just wanted to be heard. Some of the people that stared in this movie are:
Usher Raymond
Forest Whitaker
Rosario Dawson (Sin City)
Sara Gilbert (from Roseanne)
Vanessa Williams

If you have seen this movie, tell me what you think. If not, are you interested? Let talk!!!

You know, I think I've seen this movie before but I'm not totally sure. Like a few years ago, I remember that similar plot when I was watching TV on the UPN channel (Local channel 44, Cable 12). Hmmm.. i probably have seen it since UPN always show weekend movies that are like in the 80's, 90's, early 2000 and such. Not anymore since it's now called "The CW" and no more weekend movies. =X I really liked the movies they aired and I believe one of them was Light It Up.

No I don't think I have, but it sounds interesting.
It kind of sounds like this other movie I saw, but they held a teacher hostage at her house instead.
