oh man, being a lightbulb between two lovebirds is just about the most thrilling experience ever...! okay i lied; anyways i'm sure many of you guys have third wheeled before

my friend likes to set me up to third wheel..sadly. we'll decide to go to the movies or mall or whatever, then once i'm there with her...she'll say OH YEAH AND MY BF IS COMING TOO! me thinking: WTFWTFWTF NO WAIII! it sucks especially at the movies when they're making out having dry sex and you're sitting next to them trying to stay calm and watch the movie.

anyways, how about you guys and your fun excursions? ...story time yes?

your friend is just a bad friend. my best friend and my bf and me, we all hang out and she usually has no problem. next time, either make her swear beforehand that her boyfriend isn't coming or if he does show up, tell them to keep it in their pants.

although i'm sure i do it, it's really awkward when i'm hanging out with a couple and they start... getting too cozy.

I wouldn't really say I'm the third wheel so much as I'm the messenger when they get mad at each other or when they want to say something but are too scared to. It's gotten me into a lot of trouble, too, because sometimes I'm forced to say some really bad stuff, or stuff that's really hard to say to someone. Oh well, whatever. I really don't mind.

Your friend needs an attitude adjustment.
She cannot think that it's okay for her to invite her boyfriend out of nowhere before telling you first.
And the fact that they do all of that couple thing while you're tying to fend for yourself alone is unacceptable. It's just absolutely rude and inconsiderate.
You need to talk to your friend about it.
Being the third wheel makes my self-esteem dwindle down to about the size of a pea.

i agree. its bad enough you have to feel uncomfortable with them and while they are having dry sexy time. but i do think she really enjoys both of your guys company but she shouldnt invite him and tell you all of a sudden.

I agree with everyone. Thats pretty rude and inconsiterate. Do she talk to you at least when your there?

Im usually the one who brings my friend along with me and my boyfriend because im not aloud to go anywhere with just my boyfriend, plus I love spending time with my bff, I dont like make out with him or whatever when we go somewhere though. Its just like a group of friends so it makes her feel alot more comfertable and I dont ignore her.

BTW the topic made me laugh because of how it says: Third wheeling wheeeeee

Yar, not such a good friend in that regard. I'm with Michelle allll the time but that doesn't stop either of us from hanging out with other people and paying plenty of attention to them when they're the only other person with us. It also helps that we pretty much know all of eachother's friends for the most part.

Woooow they were dry humping right next to you? Awkwarrrrd!

I had a friend who, once she started dating our mutual friend, treated everyone like a third wheel. Like, it was them, separate, and everyone else. And they started using me for rides without even talking to me. I pretty much just stopped being friends with her for that period. I would talk to her from time to time, but I just couldn't do it. They broke up though, and now me and her are really good friends again! _smile.gif

Remember, they will probably break up eventually, so I guess you'll just have to wait it out.

Wowwww...that is total awkwardness. Even though it'd be sorta mean and ruin our friendship, I'd just say 'Go get a room' and walk out. Hahaha.

I was a fifth wheel if that was possible. Bboth of my friends bring their boyfriends along without telling me at a hangout. We go into Pac Sun, I start looking at shirts and turn around to ask what they thought, and they're making out right next to me, I turn to my other friend, they're on the other side of the store, making out as well.

my best friend has a bf too so we like double up haha but sometimes I'm the third wheel. but it's cool. I usually gots nothing better to do so I stay with them. prevent them from having sex. yay! they made out in front of me once then my friend asked me if I minded and I said a little and now it's all good.... I guess it depends if the boyfriend is your friend too.

What the hell? How many times has she done this to you? You shouldn't let up with this. I'd slap that ho if she did that too me. Better yet, call my boyfriend and ditch her =)

i used to be the 3rd wheel and have 3rd wheel friends around. when i was younger it made me feel safe then as i got older it was annoyin having 3rd wheels around at times. so to me its based on age..

i was in a third wheel date back in 10th grade. my friend invited me to the movies with his date. his first date. so he wanted me there for support. he told me his date will bring another friend, but she never came. so i was stuck as a third wheel. -_________-

i would still bring my boyfriend if im going out with a friend, to be honest myself and him aren't really all that kissy in public, we just seem to mess about with everyone else.
there's nothing worse than a couple all over each other constantly..thats not a relationship its just a bit dumb.
obviously if the big group go to the park we might end up kissing on the swings..but for five seconds, not five minutes, and not with everyone watching and waiting to go thumbsup.gif
