I'm going to assume that you mean expensive jeans? Like 7's, TRs (True Religion), Antiks, R&R's, Paige Denim, etc., right?
Yea, I have about 6 pairs, but I haven't bought one at full price yet. I actually got two pairs at an outlet, and the rest were either bought for me or I paid very little for them. Sales, you know how it is. I prefer 7's and TRs because they true to size most of the time. I even found a size 23 7 for all mankind, which is almost impossible to find. Antik Denim are too big for me, and I've only been able to fit into 1 pair of R&Rs, so good thing I bought that one. 7's and True Religions are more slim fitted. I got one at Nordstrom's at a semi-annual sale, and others from other random places. They're definitely worth it, depending on how you take care of them. I mean, if you wear them constantly, of course they're going to wear out. I like them because even though I have to tailor the length, at least it fits my thighs, waist, and hips. I can't even find cheap jeans that fit me, so I use that as an excuse to splurge. ![]() Oh yea, and then there's the DPDs from Express. They have Deluxe Premium Denim and they look amazing on everyone that has tried them on (as long as they are trying on the right size). They're also a fraction of the price, running aroud $88 - $98, rather than $198+. Too bad I can't fit any because they're too big for me. T_T |

yea, it depends how you'll wear them- if you wear jeans almost everyday, then hell yea get premium denim (i love true religion) and it'll last you. personally, i live in haiti so i only have 3 pairs of jeans that i actually wear, and i only jeans once or twice a week, so mine are about $30 - $40 from american eagle... but anways, if you wear jeans a lot then premium is def. worth it, IMO. plus, they fit, feel, and look better

retail is an ugly, ugly word.
if you know where to look (mostly online), you can get seven for all mankind's for under $50! once i found that out, i never payed retail ever again. i like 7's, rock and republic, paige, and citizens. i despise true religions because i refuse to have an ugly horseshoe on my butt, shrug. r&r is generally more expensive than 7's. i think more good deals exist for 7's than the rest of the premium denim brands? |

SFAMS are deeeefffinitely not true to size. I'm a 25 in anything non premium/TTS fits, and all the 7's I own are 24s and they fit loose! And I own a pair of size 23 (!) R&Rs. Most women's premium denim in the mainstream now, as far as I know, does vanity sizing... that is, make the jeans way bigger than what is right for its given size; I suppose it is to make people feel better about themselves. Stinks for the smaller girls though. Some brands known to be true to size/smaller are Paige Premium Denim and Frankie B's.
I got into premium denim sometime last year and I loove it. Butt lifting properties, no waist gaping after a bit of wear and gorgeous washes/pockets. You can definitely get good deals on it as well. I own about 13 pairs at the moment and have gotten I think 5 pairs for full retail price (oh how I regret spending $255 and $235 for Rock and Republics...). I got Paige's for $40, Fidelity's for $40 and Citizens crops for $69. So if you have the patience and are able to scope out some deals you don't really pay the huge prices. I also think Citizens of Humanity is the easiest to find good deals for, esp. on eBay. Constant cheap BINs! and BOOGERSHAHA, I hate true religions too!! My favourites are SFAM and Citizens of Humanity. Good ol Jerome Dahan... makes amazing, comfy, classic jeans. I don't think 7 for all Mankind will ever go out of style (like R&R and TR inevitably will)... pretty much the Levi's of premium denim. I recently got 2 pairs of Paige's and they are incredibly soft and form fitting, but the thicker material might be better for cooler weather. Anyway you should give us some of your vitals if you want to invest. See what brand would most likely fit you best. :) Okay that's quite enough out of me. |

I've never tried any premium denim on before... But I love the look of True Religion and Rock & Republic. 7's are nice too. But TR is probably my fave.

jennypie - 7FAMs are all different, imo. I've tried NUMEROUS 24s,and there are a few that actually fit me. I even own a pair that are size 25 and they're actually more fitted than my size 23's, even though I'm a size 23. Although it does suck to try on a lot of pairs, I usually do, since each one seems to fit differently for me. I usually try 24's though, since I hardly ever come across a size 23
![]() ![]() ![]() True Religions - I like the pants because I think they fit really well. If anything, they fit better than many of my 7's. I guess I also like twisted seams, since the bottom is where the side seams are in the front and yea.. I don't know if that makes any sense, but to those who own or tried on a pair, you know what I mean. I also like that the jeans make me slimmer. :P Preferences, I guess. But i haven't found a nice pair for a while that fit. A lot of the jeans sizes have gotten bigger, even though I've also gotten kind of bigger in size. ^_^;; Eh, it's hard to find the right pair of pants. In addition, I like the horseshoe deslgn. It's kind of unique. Before I was into premium denim, I thought those pants were Lucky Brand, since that would make sense, what with the horseshoe.. rofl. Rock and Republic - I like their back pockets and they're made for a curvy figure, imo. I like how their jeans look, but the waist size has always been a problem for me. I often have to wear mines with a belt. I've tried on many pairs, and they all seem like that. Since I have a rounded butt, R&R's emphasize that, but since my waist is more inward, the jeans tell to hang a little lower than my hips. Their sizing runs a little bit bigger than 7's, from my experience. Citizens - I like the look of their pants, but I wish they had more back-pocket designs. The ones I come across are often plain. Okus, I haven't found any good sales or deals on their jeans yet, so yea. ^_^;; Their pants fit nicely though. I guess I'd rather cough up $200 for a purse or 7's rather than a pair of citizens. My bad.. =X Antik - their sizing runs huge, imo. I haven't found a pair that fits, no matter how many 24s I've tried on. Paige - They fit nicely, but they all look similar to me. Hudson - They're not my style. I didn't really like the ones I came across sometime last year, so I tend to overlook them. Lucky Brand - They make nice guy jeans. The ones my bf has look nicer on him than the ones I've seen for women. |

is lucky considered premium denim? shrug.
yeah i don't like hudson either...nothing special about that. but i thought citizens had lots of different backpockets? they have the original 'h', the argyle, snakes, funky criss cross with circles (my descriptions are obviously on par), horse, and more? |

I've never tried those on, because it'd make me sad that I couldn't buy them
![]() I bought these jeans in Vancouver, the brand is called "Shank jeans" and they fit and feel really nice. They were only about $40, so I guess they're not premium. |

I think Lucky is, because some of their jeans are in the pricy range.. Right? Anyway, as for Citizens, the oens I come across have similar pocket designs. But then again. this was around Christmas time. I haven't really check up on the jeans recently, but in the past there didn't seem like a wide selection, that's all. |

Yeah Christina, defintely agree that SFAM has gone off the charts with the sizing. Older/rigid SFAMS used to run much much smaller. But that being said it's not as insane as how much R&R stretches sizing!
COH has a lot of pocket designs actually as BOOGERSHAHA said (what's your name? i want to stop calling you that.. haha).. probably just as many if not more than SFAMS. They just don't sell a lot of them retail (at least they don't here.) Even with the H's they have really pretty ones (like wimbledons and crochets and ric racs) but they have the naomi (argyle pattern), skull and bunny, serpent, thumbprint.. to name a few. They definitely aren't as popular as SFAMS and honestly don't look as valuable, but my two pairs of COH are among my favourites in terms of fit.. they are amazing. |

i have become ADDICTED to premium denim!! i love my paige's they fit sooo well. but i gotta stay true to my 2 pairs of sevens and my new found love of true religions. even though it gets expensive with these jeans, the fit you get with them is sooo worth it!

i'm not completely sure if i still want to try premium denim anymore, since the majority of you guys seem hooked on them. haha, i'm not saying that it's because of the whole everyone loves sevens or whatever - i don't mind, but i'd rather not get addicted and squander my money away :/
still pretty tempted though, haha has anyone ever heard of 575? my brother just bought a pair of them for $90, discounted from $220 (what can i say, he's pro)... they're gray and they have black leather accents. some of the freaking nicest man-jeans i've seen. |

i haven't seen any guys' 575, but women's 575 are meh at best...diesel for guys is hotttt.
i think every girl should own at least one pair of premium denim! :) you don't have to get addicted if you're strong enough. |

I've only got a pair of Chip & Pepper's that I got on sale (hurray for Aritizia summer sales!). They are fabulous. They do wonders for my butt, and extremely versatile. They're also very lightweight and comfortable. In the long run, premium denim is more worth it, I think. If you're like me and wear jeans all the time, it's a good investment to get a pair that really fits well.
I plan to build up my collection over the next few years. =) |

Last year, I bought 4 pairs of slim/comfy Dakota brand jeans. They fit better than Levis, that's what I used to like. They're a much more hip-comfy low cut fit and very popular. Almost half the price from other regular brand name jeans. I still wear Levis which is 2nd to 3rd most popular where I am from.

I absolutely love Joe's Jeans and Sevens. Personally, I don`t like the twisted seams for TR; it has always looked weird to me. What is this discount website you speak of? Everyone has been getting on my case lately about how much i spend on clothes.
