Can you turn your iPod on and play music without problems? Did you try to connect it to a different computer?

everything about my iPod is perfectly fine and in good shape.
and I'm pretty sure my iPod isn't dead..I just finished charging it.
I couldn't find a help topic on this at the apple website though :/

I realize that the problem is solved, but I just want to ask whether you're safely removing your iPod. As always, either click the eject button from iTunes or select safely remove hardware from windows XP (if you're using that), before disconnecting your iPod from the usb cable. Otherwise, it can screw up your iPod, damaging files and even causing you to reset your iPod, thus losing everything.

How do I know this? It happened to me, when I first got my iPod nano 2 years ago. yea I know, that was stupid of me to do so, but I was a n00b. Luckily I lost only 50 songs. Don't let this happen to you!

k I'm out.

State is good... I did much better this last semester--finally got my first As! Haha. How's UCSD? Do you work at Express again? We need to meet up! Haha.

Oh, and I don't know how to switch to the mini player whistling.gif

Okay, try plugging it in to the other USB ports (mine has two so try the other USB if you have 2 or more)

UHM, Turn it on while its plugged into the computer, that might make it realize that it is trying to sync with the computer

Maybe reset your iPod and start all over (be carful if you do this)
iTunes may then realize it, I'm not sure though

If not, call up apple

This really has nothing to do with the OP's question, but since it's iTunes help related, I thought I'd just piggyback on the topic.

I can't get friggin iTunes to work. It launches, but freezes up almost instantly. I uninstalled and reinstalled but still isn't working. I'm on Windows XP, by the way. Any suggestions? (Other than feeding my iPod with something other than iTunes)

That's weird. Did it work in the past? Do you have something blocking it because it tries to access the internet?

It's never given me a problem. The only thing that is different is that I've put some converted episode vids in my library, but even that was working for sometime.

I wouldn't care so much, but it's super convenient and I'm a podcast whore. I'm not getting my fix. Oh GOD I'M NOT GETTING MY PODCAST FIX JESUS CHRIST.

Hehe. I've searched the 'net, but not getting a whole lot of information.
