You have a right to feel the way that you are, but you also need to communicate with him about it. Try to look at it from his point of view, he offered to go out with you and you alone and you told him to go hang out with his friends. Maybe he feels the same way as you (that time alone with doesn't matter much to you). I think you guys should communicate about it. It isn't a horrible thing to go and hang out with him and his friends (provided you get along with his friends) but he needs to know that one on one time is important to you and it should be to him too. Just try to talk to him about it and work things out.
