So, I really did try to look for a topic on this, to no prevail. This must be a stupid question but, I see people that have done actual drawings- like started out blank then made/drew it in photoshop. How do you even begin to start to draw pictures in photoshop? Is there something obvious then I am totally missing. Like, let's say I wanted to draw a face, how would I go about doing that? Is there like a simple pen tool to use or something? I know this is probably a dumb question but, any help would be greatly appreciated.

WELL MOST PEOPLE START BY
UPLOADING THEIR HAND DRAWN SKETCHES
INTO PHOTOSHO. OR THEY FREE HAND IT
WITH THE PEN TOOL. THEY FOLLOW THE
SKETCH AND START TO OUTLINE IT WITH
THE PEN TOOL.. WELL THATS WHAT I DO.

most people who paint (well) on photoshop or corel painter use a tablet, enabling them to have more control with the brush tool. then there are other illustrators who basically create vectors using the pen tool, with or without a tablet.
