Okay, in December-Febuary I'm getting a new car. I had a BMW z3 and I wrecked it. so for the Time being I am just driving a Pontiac Grand Am until I find what I really want. I would like to know your opinions? I think I like the Pontiac Solstice. If you have other ideas... let me know. I for sure want a 2 seater, convertible, fast, sporty. Any Suggestions?

Honda S2000. It's quick, it's Japanese, and the handling is impeccable.

I don't think you should be driving a sports car then. Maybe an old junker for the time being. Insurance will probably kill you anyways...

One ran out in front of me. I swerved to miss it.. and hit the ditch. TOTALED. So insurance didn't go up. "Natural Causes"... Sooo. I do think I need to be driving another sports car... not an old junker. An old junker is what I'm driving right now! |

Maybe 45/55 or something real close but nothing quite as close as the solstice/sky have. Also they come with turbocharged options which gives them a nice kick. |

I can't really debate which handles better. I don't like Saturns (no disrespect) and I've never driven a Domestic vehicle other than an Expedition. The turbocharger is a nice lil add on. Only thing I can compare in better handling would be... if the car can handle making a right turn doing 40 mph without losing control/flipping/hitting curb etc... I've mentioned before that my boy's Honda S2000 can handle that with just a tiny bit of slide, not enough to worry about losing control/hitting a curb. That's what truly inspired me to want the S2k, specially changing gears at 9,000 rpms :) |

I take turns at 40 all the time in a mustang, should be no problem in the solstice/sky/any other roadster for that matter. Then again my suspension isn't stock.
And yeah it would be nice to have a higher red line lol, mine hits it at 6k :( p.s. I got to race a WRX today, beat em by a hair and he had a head very slight head start. First race in like a month, had my adrenaline pumpin, felt good. |

I'm speaking of being on city streets, and staying @ 40MPH, slightly going left, then taking the sharp right turn, ending up on the left lane after making the right. Not tryin to start anything, but I don't see a real RWD vehicle with a kinda crappy weight ratio making a right turn @ 40MPH, Porche could, Miata's could, S2Ks could, heck not even a Civic hatch back can handle. |

Ah I'm takin lefts. I can do a right turn if I have a lane or two to cross. Two lanes to cross is pretty easy, one lane is cuttin it closeeeee.
And I am not out there to say that my car is the best handler haha, I know it pales in comparison to a lot of imports. |

I have no doubt in that at all. |

Which is more often than not what it comes down to for me, highway/straightaways. I am envious of times of other's handling though :(
My friend's vette handles beautifully though. |
