god i hate these, cankorsores Options

i have a huge one right below my lip in my mouth..and it hurts like HELL!

so i can't smile, or laugh or eat, or talk, or even kiss someone without it hurting like you kno what..

and i want it to heal soon..so when i can see my bf again we can make out (its been over a month since i've seen him)

any ideas on how to get it to heal faster?

Get some cream for it? I know there's stuff you can use for the insides of your mouth, but I'm not sure where. You gotta ask around. And try not to eat food that will irritate it. Hope it gets better soon!

But anyways, yeh they are a pain in the ass, I had a few some months ago and it was hell. I just tried to drink lots of water and whatnot but I don't know if it helped...I think they just take time for the most part.

Honestly though, I'm surprised that an Asian hasn't helped you yet (no racism, yes serious). Asians have many remedies, natural/organic ones that are safe for everyone no matter what skin time. I could go look in one of my boxes in my garage for a book I have that tells you how to cure many things naturally without FDA drugs and such.

Yeah, I know they hurt like hell. I have three right now, but their starting to go away (thank you lord) I tryed puting some medecine on it to help it heal/ease the pain but nothing seems to help. You just have to wait it out.

Shit I had one of these before, actually a few times. I always cut them off and rinse mouth with peroxide.

Gah I HATE them, I have one right now
I can never find a proper way to get rid of them so I just leave them, so normally I just rinse my mouth with warm salt water (horrible stuff) but it stops the pain. When I was younger I would place ice on the ulcer until it melted just to numb it, didnt quite work though

They don't know what causes them but i think they ran some tests and found out that people that are depressed are more likely to get them.

cankersores= herpes simplex =] a lot of people have it don't worry haha. i think i have one right now or maybe it's a wound from my braces.

at the end of the school year, i was getting a bunch of them...my doctor gave me this medicine that really works [it has some sort of acid]...my mom said that people get them a lot because of stress/lack of sleep

Yeah. Stress and lack of sleep can cause canker sores. Here are ways to get rid of them:

Acidophilus taken in either capsule form or as an ingredient in plain yogurt may stimulate the immune system. Taking 2-4 capsules four times a day with milk has proven to both reduce the pain, and speed up the healing process.
Aloe juice can be used as a mouth rinse several times a day.
Alum from the spice section of your grocery store will relieve pain and speed healing, but will burn like crazy for a few minutes once it is applied. Do this once or twice a day, but be prepared for the burning, and rinse your mouth out well afterwards.
Antacid formulas such as Mylanta and Milk of Magnesia have been reported to relieve pain and speed healing.
Baking soda is a time honored remedy that can be used in powder form, or made into a paste and applied directly to the sore. This is another one that might sting a bit at first, but repeated treatments are reported to clear up canker sores in a couple of days.
Copper sulfate, also called bluestone, is a remedy that was used as far back as two hundred years ago. It is hard to find, but should clear the sore in a day or two. Consult your doctor before trying this.
Keep clean: Brush your teeth and rinse your mouth with antibacterial mouthwash often.
Stay away from salty and acidic foods.
For pain you can use any over-the-counter oral antiseptic gel or spray.
Using a hydrogen peroxide mouthwash can help clean out the canker sore and kill bacteria.
Rinse your mouth with salt water a.k.a. saline
Drink sage tea taking time to swish it around in your mouth with every sip.
Rinse with vinegar mixed with a spoonful of salt three times a day.
A baking soda / water paste applied directly to the canker sores can help speed healing.
Try switching to another brand of toothpaste.
Clove oil applied directly to the canker sore will numb it.

one of my aunts gets those alot and she got this prescription(SP?) that looks just like a chapstick tube and it heals hers in about 4 - 5 days!

&btw, i get them alot in my mouth and right inside my lips due my braces. :'(
