i got windows vista because well, idk. it was for free too cuz it isnt mine, it was my stepdad's friend's, so i was just like okay, whatever. i needed to reboot my comp anyway. okay so now ever since i got it, today, i have a parental guide thing LSKDFLAKSDNMASD
AND IT PISSES ME OFF SO f**king BAD. i just clicked some youtube link and it says i need "PERMISSION" omfg. god. =.= is there some way to remove this? i know in windows xp, you can do safe mode and do it but idk if it works with windows vista. i tried pressing f8 at that but it didnt really work.. maybe i have bad timing? iunno but sheesh its pissing me off. =.= even installing a new virus protection thing i need a pw but he isnt home right now. but sheesh, i dont wanna ask him EVERYTIME i go to a "restricted" website or install something small like a codec.

edit: ahh, this is sad, but a wikipedia page is blocked as well. mellow.gif

Your dad or someone had to of done that, its not Windows that is doing it. That has to be set.

Nope, its built into the OS, you have to be logged into a admin account to shut it off, and you need to know the password he used to setup the parental controls.

well, actually, he didnt block the websites. he just set it so it blocks websites with some content he doesnt want me to read/see, like drugs, alcohol, etc. whateverthefuck. but like.. windows is supposed to "detect" the bad stuff i guess BUT IT FREAKING BLOCKS OUT ALL THE WEBSITES THAT HAVE NOTHING BAD. cry.gif i would know cuz half of these websites i've been at dozens of times before i switched to vista. hence this one time i went to yahoo.com to check my e-mail and it was BLOCKED. stupidstupidstupidstupidstupidstupidalsdkmadx100
