So I thought it would be really cool to have a stylist competition. Like give the contestants themes and they have to create an outfit using pictures from online stores. That probably made a lot more sense in my head then it did coming out. laugh.gif What do you guys think?

Sounds kind of like cBs got style, but they wouldn't have to take pictures of themselves.
I like the idea, it would be neat to see what people come up with.

But would they just paste the image tags here, or would they put it all together in PS or something?
I think it would be better if they put it all together in an image editing program.

Yeah it would look much better put together. At least so it's all on one page.

Maybe we should just replace CB's got style with this after this round is over. Honestly, this idea seems much better because quality of the photos kind of plays into how I look at them. :T

I'd like to see them making multiple outfits for each round, since it's um, substantially easier to find just one. Plus, it'll show creativity with the theme if they make more, right? _smile.gif

That's a really good idea! Maybe 3 outfits? A casual, a work and a formal?

ah! i love this idea. but i don't want it to replace cB's got style because that contest is judging the style of our cBers, while this new contest would judge our taste in fashion, whether we'd wear it or not.

you know what i mean? :)

neat! is there going to be a price limit? like you can only spend 1000$ on a formal outfit and 400$ on the work outfit. cool :)

:O We should have something like designing your own clothes. Like, actually DESIGNING them! cB's next top designer, haha.

I understand your pov, but I don't know, it seems like if they'd choose the outfit it means they'd wear it. shrug.gif

Oh, DANG. A thousand?

Um, actually, I don't know if there ought to be a price limit, but I think it'd be nifty to have a theme like "Bargain" er something.

Oh, uhhh, if we do this, can be a judge? biggrin.gif

I think after the Make-up contest finishes, we should just have a cB Fashionista contest (for the lack of a better title) where each round they do something new and completely different. Like make-up, outfit designing, personal closet outfit, actual fashion design, etc.

There are ways to be creative with abercrombie/ae and other common labels.

Probably after either the make-up contest or cB's got style is over, since both those two AND this one are all in the fashion subforum.. and perhaps three at one time is a bit excessive. shrug.gif

i still think that they should be separate contests. i feel that it'll be too hard to judge due to the jumping around of "topics". just because someone has amazing makeup skills doesn't make them the best dresser and so on.
