You could check here for different ways for people to leave you comments. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a comment box, but if you want people to leave you comments you could find a site that basically all you have to do is insert the link for them to leave a comment and it's not on your server... it's almost like it redirects to another site.

To my knowledge you would most likely use php or a blogging program. You can use Haloscan (http://haloscan.com) but it will be a pop up comment table.

Just wondering why can you not use PHP? Is it because of your host or you just don't know how or you don't have it?
Not positive but look into greymatter its a blogging program but it may not need PHP. Its hard to use a ltitle confusing. |

Allow PHP? Well not by heart. I would suggest going through the BBOR.
http://wordpress.com is a blogging site, they give you wordpress which is what most people use. You can customize it and add pages it will look like a regular site. Its just that wordpress is kind of complicating... ok VERY on the first try. But check the BBOR for sites. |

Then its up to you. As I already stated go through the sites in the BBOR and you can try this site but you don't get many options on a free hosting.
If you find one : - Php comment scripts. - Cutenews. - Greymatter (hate it but you can try) - Moveable type - Wordpress Are some common blogging programs. You preferred not to use haloscan, but on a free host I highly suggest it. Even if its a popup window... at least you can get comments on your blog. Since I just read his/her thread.. http://heartquasm.org/ uses haloscan and its obviously not bad at all. Its up to you though.. you don't get everything you want with freehosts. Thats kind of why its free. If you want you can always apply to hosting as well for people that are hosting. So yea. You have that option too. |
