Comment size in DIV, changing the width of comments Options

Hi, I'm new here. I am learning little by little about HTML and CSS, and I've just been teaching myself by trial and error by reading the layout codes of free layouts posted on sites for public use.

I recently started using a DIV overlay layout I got from one of these sites, changing it to suit my needs.

My problem is this: The comments don't fill the whole comment box. The width of the div seems to be right, because the Scrollbar is where it needs to be on the outside of the box.

But my comments are only taking up an inch or so in the box.

Also, I have the font color set to white so that my "about me" section has white text set over my purple background image.
However, the comment box's background is white. I can't figure out how to set the color of the font in the comments to be black or purple (621881).

I appreciate any help you can give me, I'm pretty new at this with a basic understanding of the coding, but I just can't figure this out.

Firstly, I hope that you got permission to use someone else's codes and change their hard work around.

If you did, find this part of your code and change the stuff I bolded. You might want to set it to zero or one.

Can you share your comment box code? Otherwise find the part of your code that looks like this: <textarea name="f_comments" style=" and after style put color:000000, or whatever color you want.
