I tripped. Over the little rug thats behind the cashiers stand. I felt so stupid. But..converse aren't exactly known for their traction.

Still felt stupid.

Oh, and I kept dropping things due to how effing nervous I was.

Oye. I was SUCH a noob.

First day I just sat around and did nothing. Did some of my hwk but got bored and put it away.

Rest of the days at work wasn't any different...and I'm getting paid $10/hr for this too.

I work at an Arts and Crafts store in my area and I remember being soo excited and nervous on my first day. I work cashier and I used to be soo slow at ringing up items. Our cash register is really ghetto, so we don't have a scanner and instead have to type everything up.

I got the job as a spoof last October when one of the girls working there couldn't figure out like, 3 x 15 or something ridiculous... so I figured I stood a good chance at getting a job and, what do you know, I did.

All the adults there smoke and really aren't that educated but I like making money and the people are genuinely nice. It's good.

Well good save. I'm trying to find a lifeguard job, but it's just too hard. I couldn't swim the 500 hundred for the DCR but i got my certifications for a pool at a privately own place. But mike what was your time in your swim?

I just remember everyone running out the kitchen, the key manager in the window introducing me to everyone that walked by, and I was very aware of how short I was, how dumb I looked, and how shy I felt.

Well, my first job was at a small place that did partial payrolling for major companies like Google. Being 14, I got stuck doing the jobs no one else wanted to do (Filing invoices, mailings, and data entry basically).

I somehow managed to mess up three hours worth of data entry, and had to re-do all of it.
It was such a pain. >_<

The rest of my time there was fine though, and I lasted all summer before I had to head back to school. :]
