Has anyone heard of Bert Monroy? He's a digital-photo realist artist. He's basically a Photoshop Master. He can create digital paintings in Illustrator and Photoshop without scans. Check out his portfolio: http://www.bertmonroy.com/

^Yeah, he starts off with a blank canvas... From scratch. I was amazed when I first saw his work.
