okay, im not trying to sound conceited, but im not quite sure how i got my stretchmarks.

theyre by my hip area, right next to my thighs and butt.
im 5'7", 106 lbs, 17. i already know im underweight and my BMI is much lower than it should be. which is why im not sure how i got them!

is there a way to get rid of them (like, getting stretch mark lotion)?

^Ya you do. It's probably just from your body growing/stretching. Have you lost or gained any weight recently/quickly??

I think rubbing olive oil or something like that can help out. You can also work out that part of your body and try to tone? Also if you got a lil fatter the stretch mark area would be stretched so the marks wouldnt show up rofl

I would suggest Vitamin E, because I've used it for scars in the past. I know scars are much different than stretch marks, but vitamin E plays an important roll in how the skin heals and reproduces skin cells (who knew foods classes would pay off). The thing I'd suggest to try would be to get the gel pills of vitamin e and break them open and put them on the areas where you have stretch marks. I did that for a nasty scar I had on my forehead and it helped it go away so it might work for stretch marks.

I'm pretty sure they make special cocoa butter creams especially for stretch marks. Vitamin E would probably work, too.

You've most likely grown some, and your skin has to stretch so you won't look a mess. _smile.gif

try massaging lotion into it,
and from what I recall, Jergens has a stretch mark lotion that helps.

I've seen commercials for Palmer's Cocoa Butter formula. I've heard it works well.

I think there is a new cream out there in your local drug stores and it gets rid of scars and stretch marks.

We all have stretch marks somewhere. And, no, you can't get rid of stretch marks, but I suppose you can lighten them down some.

Yup, everyone gets stretch marks nomatter how skinny you are or think you are. Stetchmarks aren't just caused by putting on too much weight too quickly, they can be caused by losing weight too quickly and growing - particularly for girls during puberty.

Welcome to the club! laugh.gif

They do fade in time though.

I have stretch marks, I use to be extremely self conscious of them but I got over it. There isn't a way to really get rid of them, you can go to a store and get the lotion that is made to help get rid of them, if you do use it every day it will make them less noticeable and help them fade..but its not magic or anything.. it takes a while.

i don't mean to come off rude but " 5'7", 106 lbs" are you kidding me? that is so gross.

don't worry about the stretch marks but rather gaining weight.
