so last night I had dream
when I was dreaming, I knew I was dreaming
it felt like playing in a vitural reality video game
sometimes when I dream, I think it's real

queer question I know (I'm in school really bored)

When you guys dream, are you aware that you are dreaming?

Yeah, most of the time I'm aware I'm dreaming and if I don't like the direction in which the dream is going I can wake myself out of it.

I'm usually sure my dream is real.

Sometimes I find myself screaming in a dream to "wake up" a billion times, but I don't actually wake up... does that count?

I always dream about something I think about or watch before I go to bed. But most of the time I'm not aware that I'm dreaming.

I don't really remember my dreams, but I've had a few that seem so real. My dreams are really messed up so I'm pretty aware they aren't real. I wish I was one of the few people in the world who can Lucid Dream.

Oh man It's been forever since i had a decent "dream"
I mean none of them have been horrifying or anything, but usually I get a ticket for going really fast, or I get in trouble for doing something stupid. It seems so realistic too given my previous speeding history lol. The bad part is I've tried so hard lately to stop and in the dream it's so stupid what I did to get it.

Nah. I used to be really aware that I was dreaming whenever I was, and I'd sometimes even think "wake up, wake up, wake up!" during the more particularly frightening nightmares but... heh, I've stopped even having dreams that regularly.

knowing that you're dreaming while you are dreaming is called lucidity. there's a site on how to reach it, i can't, but i believe it's very possible. i have no clue that i'm dreaming when i dream. there's ways to remind yourself while you're dreaming that you're in a dream. the more often you do reality checks in real life, you'll most likely do them in your dreams, realizing then that you're in a dream. reality checks are things such as looking in a mirror or flickering a light switch. [i love dreams/astrology, so yeah, i know about this stuff.] if you want to know more about lucid dreaming, just reply here i guess. blink.gif

Usually I can't remember much of any of my dreams, just bits and pieces. I do know that I can't remember the last time I had a nightmare though.

Got any good sites that you like for lucid dreaming? I'd like to have full control in my dreams so I might be able to remember them and control the outcomes.

Sometimes. There are times when I know for sure it's a dream and it's all fine and dandy, but then there are times when I wake up and think my dream was what happened the night before. It's very odd.

Gawd, your like me laugh.gif I think. I find it fascinating; lucid dreaming and I think, "false awakenings"?

I've never had a lucid dream before, nor have I "tried" to have one, though I think that'd be totally fkn awesome. I have been able to wake myself from dreams though- but I dont think that would classify totally as "lucid dreaming". I think its more of a state when you can "control" your dream, though dont count me on it. I have a bad memory when it comes to dreams.. lol. I barely ever remember any. Just the nightmares.. predictably.

Wiki has a few good explainations of dreams:

+ Lucid Dreaming

+ False Awakenings

I've only ever had 1 "false awakening" before.. its a real odd sensation as you could imagine.

Yeah, sometimes I am. If something really strange or bad happens, I suddenly realize, "Don't worry, it's just a dream." Then I wake up, remember how I was able to realize that while dreaming, and just go blink.gif.

My boyfriend says he usually knows when he's dreaming, and when he's aware of it, he can control what he actually does in his dream, instead of just watching to see what happens.

I'm aware sometimes of when I dream. But that is, when I actually have dreams. ermm.gif
