Have you ever had a great idea and started to design something then half way through you're like um what was my point with this?

I don't know maybe I'm the only one it happens too. I was trying to do something this weekend and I left it to be finished later. Today I'm staring at it like um WHAT THE HELL!

Ever happen?

Yes! It happens a lot, I haaate it. Sometimes I'll have the best ideas too, and just lose them.
I feel like I've wasted my life doing it too.
But yeah, it happens. pinch.gif

Sometimes I'll be like "wait.. what was this for? Ugh! screw it! *close*"

All the time! It's so annoying, I have so many unfinished projects, and whenever I try to finish them later on, they look disgusting to me, and so I never ever finish them =( I think it just has to do with our state of creativity at the moment. I personall can't sit and work on any one piece for longer than 2 weeks, or I lose interest.

About half of the things I start designing I never finish for some reason or another. Usually because I don't see the point in further designing it or I simply get bored and move on to something else.

I start a lot of things, and sometimes I run out of time to finish them and I never come back to them. It really sucks when it's something for a class or if there's some sort of deadline that I have to meet. I usually have to finish something before I do something else. I'm weird like that.

This has happened to me so many times that I can't even count them. It usually happens to me when I have a design block.

Of course. Sometimes I just ended making graphics and layouts for the heck of it, and never used it. A lot of the time I've spent hours on something new only to discard it...

I have a folder full of nothing but unfinished psd files. It's insane. I have all these ideas but I find myself just getting tired in the middle and starting something else. I think I may have Photoshop ADD.

The trick is finding the movitivation to go back and finish at least one thing. Just one thing. Part of it is what I'm into, as far as media is concerned.

For example, I love Lost and I love Heroes. I'll get all excited and passionate about making Lost icons. I get the bases ready, download some brushes, review some tutorials and start with the 100 X 100 new psd layer. Few layers later, Heroes comes on or maybe Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I start thinking... hmmm, I think I need to make some Spike icons.

It's all downhill from there.

Ugh, yes. I hate it when that happens.
I have such an amazing idea and then I just loose interest and later on it's like..why did I bother? It's totally not worth it!
I feel like I wasted hours of my life that I'll never get back. laugh.gif pinch.gif

Eh or when you finish something half way and you save it to finish later and never get back to it? I hate that feeling and it just sits there and I procrastinate over whether or not to finish it or not.

Yea I know how you feel Toya _smile.gif

Oh, definitely, even if it isn't something I picked up to finish some time later. I'll simply run out of ideas on what to do next. Hmm, I should actually plan things out first. And I have to remember that adjustment layers are awesome.

Yea, sometimes I get annoyed when my laptop is lagging so much from using Photoshop, then everything freezes and I loose a half-done graphic which I like... then I can't do the same thing again the next time.
