Friend or Foe? Options

DONT START WHAT YOU CANT FINISH.

So, I'm going to be as straight up as possible. I have this good friend, let's call her Jamie. I have several classes with Jamie. So, together we walk and chat and share secrets, jokes and laughs. For the most part, I trust her and care for her very much. Then there's my other friend (who I'm closer to than I am with Jamie) Let's call her, Tally. Tally is one of my best friends and I can always look to her for honesty and support.

One day in science, I'm told from Tally that Jamie never liked me in the first place...and that she was never my friend and that she was simply acting like it because she felt sorry for me. (Btw, Tally knows this because she's friends with the girl who hates me along with Jamie.) That ached my heart because we shared a lot of moments and time together and I put a lot of trust into her. The following day, I was gloomy and sad at the fact that this rumor could or could not be true. I told my other friend what was bothering me and she said she would help find out for me. She came back with the results and merely said that Jamie had said, "I have no problem with Jane." Later, Jamie comes up to me, and sees me sad and she asks what was wrong. I mumbled and just shrugged and she kept asking what was bother me and to tell her what was wrong so she could help me feel better. I began to think that this rumor wasn't true. It couldn't be. Jamie helped me with all my problems. She helped me slide out of trouble, tell my crush I like him, and came to class late with me. Why would she pretend to like me if she didn't?

Then today, Tally told me that Jamie always makes jokes about me with her other friend and that Jamie doesn't like me, still. It hurt a lot of hear that. All of this has gotten me confused.

What does she want from me? Should I just confront her about it?

That must really hurt alot. She's backstabbing you, if it's true. I think you should confront her. I wish the best of luck to you.

I know what it's like to be backstabbed. Maybe "Jamie's" other friends don't like you, and that's what influencing her to act like she doesn't like you? It's a possibility.

Ah, Jamie's other friend doesn't like me. Tally just tells me that they talk about me when they're in math together. But I don't understand why she would do it. She plays it off so well, I'm still reluctant to believe it.

There's so many, possbilities in this situation. I mean, this could also be an attempt of Tally to "sabotage" your friendship with Jamie. But, that one seems the least likely. If she plays it off so well, maybe it is lie. It could be that Jamie's other friend is the influence and she's only going along with it.

I just think, you should confront her about it.

This situation sounds kinda strange, and I'm sorry to hear you're upset.

I don't know if this could be a possibility, but maybe 'Jamie' acts as if she doesn't like you when she's with that other girl....just to fit in.

Either that, or this other girl is actually influencing 'Jamie', like xSWEETxCANDiix says.

But, yeah..I'd confront her about it if it's getting to you. I wish you luck!

it sounds to me like pressure from jamie's other friend. if her friend doesn't like you, she probably just wants to fit in with her so she goes along with it.
however, how would tally know about all this if she wasn't a part of it?
i'd say just confront them both.

I confronted her today during Latin and she told me that none of that was true. I'm so relieved. I hope that the rumors stop soon. Thanks for the help, guys.
