I know people who wear eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick, concealer, the whole deal every day and actually look good doing it. It's not overdone, it's just right. Take off the makeup and welll....that's another story. But for having to put on a full face in the morning, they really don't look half-bad without it.

Am I the only one who assumes that if someone uses makeup every day that without it, they look terrible? (Alright, maybe not terrible but you know.....[okay, maybe you don't, I don't even think I know. oro.gif])

that certainly doesn't go for Betsey Johnson tongue.gif
Yeah, like celebrities? I guess people are so prone to their 'perfect' face that once its off, we see them differently
I know people at my school who have everything on, sometimes its just sickening but some girls do alright

Yeah, some of my friends wear the whole deal on a daily basis and they look really nice doing it. They use a lot of TYPES of product, but they don't use a LOT of it.
Then again... hehe.... without their makeup... they look a bit different.

Oh yeah. I knew this girl who one day came to school with makeup on (then again, she just broke up with her boyfriend because she found out he was cheating on her) and so she did look pretty horrible.

that's why i find makeup to be so useless.
it doesn't matter what you look like in front of people because whomever you're trying to impress will eventually see you without the makeup.

No, you're not.

But I disagree. There are some people who wear make-up every day (me), and when they take it off, everyone says they look the same (me). I wear it b/c I'm used to it, and I like it. I know it makes a difference to me.

There are people out there who look disgusting without make-up, like many celebrities, but that's b/c the quality and amount of they make-up they wear for shows is incredibly HUGE.

hypocritical much? don't go to the extreme when later you're going to retract back part of your statement. and makeup doesn't necessarily mean putting on a face. Unless you wear eyeliner that covers your lids pretty much up to your brow everyday, and then suddenly decide one day to come to school with absolutely no eyeliner at all, that's a shocker.

and makeup isn't necessarily used to impress. I only wear makeup on days when I have exams/tests or for parties. Why do I wear makeup for test days? Because looking good makes me feel confident and that's basically how I feel when I wear makeup to parties. It's like why I wear pink eyeliner to parties - because it's eye-catching, and it makes me feel confident.

I'm not exactly disgusting looking in the morning, but makeup most certainly helps my troubled areas.

I think it really depends on the amount of makeup they wear.

There's this one girl in my gov't class who wears packs and packs of makeup everyday. Her eye shadow is so heavy, it's ridiculous. One time, she came to school without any makeup on...my friends and I couldn't even recognize her. ;x But, there are some people who wear makeup lightly enough to enhance whatever they need, but still a bit natural looking. thumbsup.gif When they take it off, they look just as great :D

It's a little odd when people who usually have a routine skip it for a day, but I haven't yet seen anything too shocking. I think a lot of the with and without pictures of celebrities' makeup are silly... usually for the with makeup picture, it's flattering, then for the without makeup picture they manage to find one of some dirty woman milking a cow. I think they're all generally nice-looking.

I alternate my routine like crazy, so pretty much anything I do isn't like "Where was your mirror this morning, Ruth?" And that's including walking out the door with a clean face and bed hair.

I'm an example of this. When I don't wear make up, I look weird. At least, to me.

I think that's how it is one when someone wears makeup every single day, because when they skip a day, it's so noticeable. Thats why I don't to be honest (that, and I'm lazy)...that way when I do wear makeup, it looks nicer.

Eh I wear makeup everyday, but not obscene amounts: mascara, bronzer and powder. There's a big difference between enhancing your natural features and covering everything up.

When something rubs off after a person touches your face it means it's a bit too much wink.gif
