Apologies in advance if there is already a topic on this. I searched.

Okay... post away! What's the most disgusting, revolting food you've eaten in your lifetime?
Mine would have to be a "special" soup my mother made for us one time. pinch.gif

I was over my friends house for dinner and her mom made us an "appetizer" which consisted of cheese, lettuce, mushrooms, and tomatoes. The cheese&lettuce was okay, but the mushrooms and tomatoes were DISGUSTING.

Also, oysters. Anything that has oysters in it sick.gif

yeah, my dad had this friend who was oriental. turned out he had been saving these REALLY EXPENSIVE 100 year old eggs and he wanted us each to have one for dinner. what did it taste like... well,, what you would expect any rotting 100 year old food thats been in the ground would taste like. it was SO disgusting. i threw up for hours, and by hours i mean i didnt budge from the side of the toilet for 6 hours.

if you think youve eaten something more disgusting than that, ill give you a million dollars and be your slave for life.

Waterbugs. Ok, so I was in Cambodia and some friends of my family on the countryside bought a bagful of "stuff" I assumed and told me to try some. Dude, it was a bunch of cricket-looking bugs and it had that raid/cockroach smell to it. They kept telling me it was good though and they lived in the water, so I'm like whatever you only live once. Never again though.

Doesn't Palabok normally have seafood in it anyway? blink.gif

I don't really encounter gross food, but I despise one of those filipino dishes with Bittermelon.

Does "Bittermelon" sound tasty to you? It wasn't vomit-worthy, but it did make me cringe whenever I ate it.

Oh, another thing that is a little gross is ice cream from my friend's refridgerator. It ends up having a meat aftertaste mellow.gif

Whaaaat? Racoon?!
That's sick. Ugh.

Well, I can't recall anything overly bad..
Except once when I was a lot younger I tried these vegetable chips. Those things they sell at Health Value shops or whatever, the healthy alternative to potato crisps. Normally they aren't that bad, but these..

They had a really rotten taste, some sort of foreign flavour and tasted really really old. The after taste made me puke twice. Worst ever pinch.gif

Frog legs. I was 8 years old, and my mom told me it was "baby chicken". It tasted nothing like chicken. From that point on, I became a vegetarian so I wouldn't be tricked into eating anything ridiculous. 'Til this day, I'm deathly afraid of frogs.

yeah, my dad had this friend who was oriental. turned out he had been saving these REALLY EXPENSIVE 100 year old eggs and he wanted us each to have one for dinner. what did it taste like... well,, what you would expect any rotting 100 year old food thats been in the ground would taste like. it was SO disgusting. i threw up for hours, and by hours i mean i didnt budge from the side of the toilet for 6 hours.

if you think youve eaten something more disgusting than that, ill give you a million dollars and be your slave for life.

thats the same thing i was going to say i had the same issue pinch.gif

I depsise Pigs Feet.
I had to eat when I was 7. It must've picked at it for over an hour. It was slimy, but the bottom was solid and in the shape of a piece of pie. OMG it was so nasty.

I also don't like raw tomatoes, salad dressing, and most vegetables.

I'm the pickiest eater ever.
Seriously, I am.

RAW TOMATOES ARE THE BEST. God, you must be from a different planet. Tomato is the most versatile "fruit" in the world. Everything tastes great with a tomato.

Actually that's true, isn't it? Maybe that's why everyone loves ketchup.

Well, I'm sure the person meant specifically raw tomatoes, but yeah, I love it? It's so weird to me that they don't like it. I love it in sandwiches, tuna with minced celery topped with tomatoes, salads, stuffed tomatoes. Let's not get into how many things are cooked or made with tomatoes.

Oh, I knew that raw tomatoes were the subject. The ketchup part was a just a second statement.

I can happily say tomatoes have their own place in my diet. rolleyes.gif

Cat food! I had it on a dare once. I thought it wouldn't be too bad since I'd had dog food before, and that wasn't too bad. But yeah. It was really disgusting. It was like, the wet kind of food that comes in a can. Eugh. sick.gif
