How long is appropriate to wait after the end of a one year relationship before starting a new relationship?

There's no exact clock or timer that says OKAY IT'S TIME TO GO GET ANOTHER BF/GF.
When you feel that you really like someone again is the right time, however long that may take. But also but your ex's feelings into consideration first so don't rush (if that person is sensitive, or you were the one that broke it off)

Currently its been a month and I really really like this guy. He and I have known each other for about two years so its not like its some new guy sprouting out of no where. Its weird because I never become so attached to a guy so quickly, but he's just so charming.

But I don't know. It seems so soon. I broke it off and I want to take into consideration my ex's feelings because we had a wonderful year together, but I just want to throw that all out the window for this guy.

If you're that concerned with what your exboyfriend is going to think, maybe you should talk to him about it.

I don't think you should jump into anything serious, but don't push this new guy away completely. But, you are single, right?

Yeah, there really is no set time...it depends on your personal situation, who broke off the last relationship and how you feel. No need to rush, but you don't have to wait forever and a day either.

Like others have said, there's no timer on when you should start looking and getting into a relationship again. Go with the flow.

So I was impulsive and now me and new guy are together. People are starting to talk around school.

I am an insensitive b****? Aren't I? I mean come on a month after a one year relationship. What was I thinking?

^why does it matter what others say about you? if it's over then it's just over. there's no use in looking back in the past. if you like a new guy then you like a new guy, what's the big deal? so what if it's one month? why would you sit there thinking about your old relationship when it's over? did i say that already? oh well. i just don't think you should let other people's opinions affect you. who cares what people say? ehh that's just me.
