Now if I were a new member trying to get my posts up just to get special privileges with CB's xanga/myspace crap, I'd understand the idea on spam.

But now me, being a member of CB since...practically it was first created, you'd think I wouldn't really care to spam. Someone's got a vendetta.

Forgive me if I seem out of the loop, but is there a certain instance you're referring to, or are you talking about spamming accusations in general?

edit; Ah, you edited, but the link shortened itself in your PM and it didn't copy properly.

I added the warning on to James verbal warning post for him backstage.

He was warned for member bashing, spam, and failure to remove image tags when posting.
I didnt add those other ones into the original PM or in the Warning note because i acidentaly sent it out too soon. pinch.gif

I personaly had given him some leniency for a while. But after a while there was no impreovement.

I'll agree that you posting a smiley in that thread really wasn't that big of a deal, at least not enough to merit a warning, but I can understand if I read her documentation which points out that you were repeatedly calling her (and James) names.

This brings up a new point, and it's something that hasn't been discussed yet, so nobody's in trouble, but what should be done if a mod is warning a member for being rude to them? Personally, if someone calls me a name I'll bring it up with someone else before issuing a warning because I don't want it to seem like I'm doing it out of spite or to get revenge. I'd call on someone in a higher position (or equal, if you're head/admin) to take care of it for me - they'll do it in a way that's not biased and let me know if I did anything wrong. That's off-topic, but it's just a thought.

I'm not sure if that's the actual reason for your warning level being raised, but I don't think your post in that thread was the only thing contributing to it. Again, forgive me if I seem out of the loop here, I'm not positive I fully understand what's happened. Hopefully Diana or the person who sent the PM (if it wasn't her) can come clear this up.

He wasnt warned solely on caling me a "dyke".Yes it offended me but it wasnt like i was going to warn him in spite.
Like I said backstage he was warned for a couple different other things like spamming and not removing image tags.He was warned because he failed to make an improvement by stopping what he was doing even when he was clearly verbaly warned a couple of times already for the same offenses.

And ill state again that I got off your back for a while to see if things would get better. To see if the member bashing toned down or if the spamming to a bare minimal

I dont try to act like a nazi like you personify to be,Podomaht.Im really good person once you get to know me.But at the same time i was told that if people continued to not remove image tags when quoting that that would merit a verbal warning and if it continued a warning.Spaming was another thing,You cant go around on a forum going "throw some D's on that bitch" in topics.Sometimes you do say something useful so i personaly had faith that you were toning it down. And i left you alone for a while but you didnt and James asked you to stop spaming and member bashing and you didnt So then he verbaly warned you and still even after that you failed to cut the crap out so I took action and warned you.

If youd like to talk to me more about this I see you on AIM ill Just IM you or you could PM me.
You dont need to make a topic on every single little thing.Ask me and ill tell you.Im really trying to work with you because you dont seem like that bad of a person.

You don't have to receive a verbal warning from that mod in order to receive a warning level raise - if you've received a verbal warning from any mod, the next time, no matter who handles it, that is taken into consideration. Do you really feel as if you hadn't been warned for member bashing before Rachael said something to you about it?

That having been said, she didn't actually raise your warning level anyway, so I'm a bit confused about that PM.

So she is a craptastic moderator. She threatened me. Hell no. I wasn't talking about member bashing. I'm talking about getting warned for SPAM.

Bashing I know I do. In fact, I do a great job at it.

^ You are fully aware of the forum rules as has been demonstrated by your debates with staff. You also know what spam is.

Since you guys have been angry at how "inconsistent" we've been as a moderatating team, I thought I ought to start minding my P's and Q's and go by the book. You spammed, and you have spammed repeatedly, so I warned you.

Edit: Oh, and I did raise your warn level - it wouldn't let me at first because you had received another warning too recently for another to be added.

Yes, I was.

Rachael (digital.fragrance) doesn't have a vendetta against you. It wouldn't make any sense for her to have one (not that it would make sense for anyone to have a vendetta against a member of an internet forum). She's Xanga staff and your conversations have been almost exclusively with People Staff, Head Staff and Admins.

As far as the spam warning goes, some moderators will look past the smilie posts but that doesn't mean that there isn't a rule against spamming. You broke that rule, she warned you. "A post with smilies (unless it is in the Sandbox)" is clearly stated in the Spam is/are section of the Community Guidelines.

As far as the problem that has yet to be solved, are you referring to why you received the warning, or the manner in which you received you warning?

Actually, the quote that you have of my PM to you was your warning... and I didn't adjust your level until afterwards.

And why would I have a vendetta? I'm just enforcing the rules.

How did this go? She PMed you warning you that she was going to warn you, and then a couple hours later, she PMed you again informing you that she was about to warn you, and finally, she actually warned you?

If this is about a technicality, would it kill anyone to have the PM(s) quoted here?

Looking just at that, I don't see that she did anything wrong, or even mis-worded the PM. You were told directly that she was going to raise your warning level and she gave the reasoning why.

I don't see that anywhere in the ByLaws. You don't get a PM warning you to stop a behavior prior to a warning unless it's a verbal warning. Raised warn levels get an accompanying PM, but you don't get a "stop that" email prior to the actual raised warn level itself.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what it is you're trying to say.

See, you complain about warnings yet you continue to refer to someone like that. I'm going to let that slide, once. If you continue to flame her or anyone else for that matter, your warn level will just continue to increase.

Don't you get a verbal warning PMed to you before the actual warning level is raised? It's kinda unfair just to write "ZOMG VERBAL WARNING" in the topic since the person might not visit that topic again.

For the initial verbal warning you get both a PM AND it's mentioned in-thread. You don't necessarily get a verbal warning everytime you get a raised warn level. I won't quote the ByLaws, since you've asked me not to quote things in the past and I respect that, but it's there if you want to read or re-read them.
