How do you get rid of things that you are so passionate about, something that you love so much that it bothers you.
Is it ever possible to let your passion for things to disappear? |

Wait, so you want to get rid of it because it bothers you how much you love doing it?
The first thing that comes to mind is really to just wait it out. Obsessions come and go, this may just be one. Second, I guess, is to either do it step by step or maybe do it one quick, painless move if you can. The former, I think, makes the most sense. That way, if you ever decide along the way "Hey, maybe I don't want to give this up." you can always go back. |

Why would you want your passion to disappear? (Out of curiosity)

Find something to replace it..
Find something else to keep your mind on so you won't remember it. There's really no way to let go, there's only a way to make things fade.. But of course, it'd never permanent. There'd still be remnants left in the end. OR, you can always get amnesia. It's a good way to get out of everything :] And yeah, I'm curious of why you'd want to let go of something like that too. Your passions make up who you are >.> |

^ I agree.
![]() I don't think it's ever possible to let your passions completely disappear or rid of them forever, but after not partaking in them for awhile you begin to remember them less and it becomes easier to deal with not having them. |

Yeah, I don't think passions dissapear just like that. I guess it depends on what exactly you mean by a passion of yours. You can give up passions, yes, but I still think there's an urge for you to do that.

You're spamming, go away Jose... I own you. I own you bad. OK??! (I'm just kidding... ![]() If I'm passionate about something, truly passionate, I won't let it fade away. I'll keep the fire burning! Thanks for messing up the cool little copy-me-copy-you thing we had going on. Way to be a jerkoff. |

Time fades away most passions- though I can hardly believe that it will completely ever erase them in entirety. Sometimes it takes longer, though. |

This came from TV somewhere, but it helped me moved on from an infatuation and it may help you...
"It's not what things bring you that's important, it's what they leave you with". Don't think about getting over it, because that will cause more stress and increase your time thinking of the problem. Rather, focus on what can be learned from the situation/thing and live the experience. |
