So, I wasn't interested in being very opinionated until recently. When it comes to debating matters, are you usually the type to give in or voice your opinion til you drop?

Yes! I enjoy debating and arguing a lot of the time, unless it's a stupid issue that shouldn't be fought over. I often like having the last words too.

Ever since I turned more opinionated, I get annoyed when people can't hold their point. pinch.gif

I suck when it's in a public setting. My teacher made me go first and I had 2 other people to back me up and we were against 15 people. I was like.. "The s-s-s-surgereeeh does not affect t-t-t-the ..." Yeah okay, I htink you get the point. I'm more of a observer, actually..

It really depends on the subject. If its something really important to me, I'll voice my opinion until I drop dead. laugh.gif
But if its something silly that me and a friend are just messin' about or something I dont really care about, then I'm just like "w/e you win, idc".

edit: THERE IS THAT AD AGAIN, TINAA!! :[

I guess I'll have to go with that. Sure, I can't debate on the spot. I just need some time to come up with my whole debate. It makes it easier if someone's supporting as well.

rofl1.gif I see the ad, too! It's out to get us, Kara!

I had 2 days to get ready. I said "ummmm" for a good 10 seconds before I said anything else. My supporters just pwned me like I was a noob. ohmy.gif

Like, my friend and I were debating about whether or not people were born bi or not and after a few responses, she gave up. I mean, its not that I don't like winning for getting my point through but not like that!

^ It's kind of like they realize that they're wrong and they'll just shut up now.
Jane, you should take up debate club if your school has one.

I remember in 8th grade we had to do this debate with a group of 4 and i honestly LOVED it. Yeah, sounds weird but i found it pretty cool. Got bonus points because our team won.

It depends on the issue. If it's something I firmly believe or I know is true, I will fight it until I win or the other gives up because I can be pretty stubborn, haha...

It depend what the issue is. Usually I hang back and listen to what other people think. If it's something that interests me or that I have a strong opinion on, I'll speak up.

During a piano duo rehearsal:

Me: I told you it was supposed to be slower.
Sara: No, you didn't.
Me: Yes I did!
Sara: No, you didn't!!!
Me: YES I DID, BITCH!!!

I'll throw in my opinion and my points, but really, I get into debates hoping to be able to learn something; perhaps from the other perspective. If someone else happens to say something that I never thought about, then hey, I might think twice about it and even admit that I was wrong.

I give my opinion no matter what, whether it be debate or just a conversation between me or someone else. I hate it when people have biased opinions though. But I do speak my mind often.

Damn! laugh.gif

When it comes to family, I argue with them to God knows when, especially when it comes to defending my generation. My uncles and aunts are constantly criticizing us, and everyone else in my generation basically takes it because really, when it comes to our extremely bitchy stubborn no-you're-YOUNGER-so-we-know-better approach, there's no point in arguing. But because of the fact that I can't keep my damn mouth shut, all the "debating" (read: ruthless tearing apart) has created a really strained relationships.

It depends, usually I would then them what all my opinions, but if they are people who I avoid arguments with, I'll try to argue objectively.

if it's something worth debating? then yes, i'll debate my ass off until the end.

if it's something i don't particularly care too much about, i'll debate for a bit, and then give up because it's not worth wasting my time.

Haha.

I'm a debating freak. It's Genetic, though. I get it from my dad. To be honest, I'm normally a quiet person when it comes to debating things, but if they get on a topic really care about, then I'll jump in and argue till no end. People look at me like blink.gif "Holy Crap, Julia! where did that come from???"

you win some, you lose some...but its much more exciting when you win _smile.gif

Like one of the other posters said, it depends on what is the subject exactly. If it is a subject that I truly believe that it is true, I'll keep debating until I convince them. shifty.gif If it's something not that important, I guess I'll debate just a little and then stop.
