Do you tend to make a lot of careless mistakes? I do, especially on tests and it kills. stubborn.gif

1:32 AM here. _smile.gif

I usually tend to make careless mistakes when I feel that I'm overly-confident in something, and don't need to be as analytical or careful as I am with other things.

^Me too! I'm constantly telling myself to ground myself to avoid things like that.

And really, it's the careless mistakes that I do while driving that really making me go crazy. I don't make them because I think I'm a great driver (I wish. sad.gif), but just because I sort of find driving to be a chore and I don't always do things spot-on like I should.

Nah, not really. Depends, if it's tests then I don't often. I'm clinical.

It depends on the circumstances. If I'm doing something and I feel like I'm under pressue, I tend to make more mistakes (Like when the teacher walks around and when other students are finishing their tests and I'm not even half way done.)

I'm make lots of mistakes when the question is vague and I feel like more than one answer may apply, and I have to choose a multiple choice answer. I'm not too sure if that's a good thing, or a bad thing.

I tend to do it and not notice until after I get the paper back. Then...I smack myself in the head with a rock and yell at myself for being so stupid.

The mistakes I make are directly related to how interested I am in whatever task I am doing, except when it is work, studying (only after I have been out of college) and Texas Hold'em. I am a swift and precise natural born killer in all three of them.

Yeah, all the time. Afterwards I want to smack myself, but I'm too lazy to check my work most of the time. rolleyes.gif

He basically sums it up. If I care about the paper or test, then I make sure to check myself often. If I could care less, it most likely has an error or two..or three...

I tend to make them in math, when we have a really tight time limit and I just speed through problems without checking them.

Yea, I could've gotten an A, but I messed up on my conversions in dimensional analysis. I put 10^(-9) nm = 1 m, but it's supposed to be 10^990 = 1 m. I always put a negative sign accidentally, even though I KNEW the right answer. >_<" Ah well... Friggen CHEM class... Or I forget to add in a parenthesis or something. One time in math class, there was question that had a decimal point and it was like x^(.53) something and you know what happened? I didn't even see the decimal point because it was so small! That's okay, the rest of the class didn't see it either, so the test was curved. yay!

In life in general: Another careless mistake would be sitting down in a chair without checking the chair to make sure there's nothing there. One time I saw in a cherry soda -soaked seat! It was painful!

Sometimes I tend to make careless mistakes on my tests at school, but I try not to make them though. So I always double and triple check my work.

When it comes to tests...all the freaking time. I hate it. I've gotten better at trying not to though...
But I hate it when its only stupid mistakes that change a letter grade. pinch.gif Ugh.

I tend to make really careless mistakes in math and writtings. I never remember to check my grammar and math symbols.
