I'm 14, never had a boyfriend before, and still waiting for that first kiss. There's a boy I've had a crush on since 6th grade, so it's been about 3 years. I know we've liked each other for those 3 years (the signs.....and his friends recently telling me that he liked me that long was sort of a big give away). I'm a shy person, but at certain times i talk to him, trying to act like he's just another boy, but he doesn't talk to me, he just stares. I don't know why, but I'm attracted to him and i can't seem to get him out of my head. I've had several crushes in those 3 years, but i always end up liking him the most.

Am i waiting too long for something that won't ever happen?

No way. Just give him some time. He sounds like a shy guy so it's gonna be hard for him to get up the courage to ask you out. Just keep talking with him like he's a friend and he'll warm up and start talking back.

Just wait a little longer, and continue to talk and maybe flirt with him a bit. Get to know him more and everything shall fall into place.

maybe he stares because he's shy?
i'd say go for it, whenever you're ready.
you guys both like each other... so good luck! _smile.gif

Wow.. That was exactly like me! I've crushed on a guy for 3 years, too before something started happening between us. Just give it some more time and act yourself around him. Eventually he'll see what a great and friendly girl you are and he'll make a move. =D

How bout give him a little nudge? Even though you both like each other...nothings gonna happen if neither of you do anything about it. Before we got together...I knew he liked me and I liked him...I figured I wait for him to take the initiative...waited for about 3 months...and dropped huge hints...he said he liked me too...but nothing happened. So one day I just told him I'd like us to be more than friends and here we are, half a year later =)

You don't have to do anything big...you can just hang out with him alone, or start doing stuff together alone. =)

My experience, from waiting so long.. don't give up waiting if you have the time to wait. I would say start hanging out with him and once he's comfortable maybe he'll reveal to you that he likes you too =). Might as well do something about it. Trust me.. it'll be worth it.

yeah...i would go for it if you know he likes you. Maybe he just isn't sure about your feelings.
