You can just wait. Some people don't date until they're in their... thirties!

Well basically, both of my best friends have best friends... By that, do you mean they have boyfriends? There's nothing wrong with you. We all get to that stage where we're single and want a boyfriend, but I suggest you wait for a guy to come along rather than try to force yourself to have one. Good relationships take time, and rushing into one just cuz you want a boyfriend is a negative. If you really want to meet guys, start talking to them. Go to the mall. Chit-chat with them at school. Maybe they don't talk to you because they think you're the really shy type and are scared of approaching you? I dunno. |

I went through the same phase as you did. When I was 16, I wanted a boyfriend REALLY badly. It was to the point of pure envy and jealousy whenever I see a new couple spring up, or seeing existing couples walk the hallways hand in hand, looking ever so happy together. I wanted one. And I got one with near shameless flirting with this guy...we got together, and didn't last. We weren't happy. The relationship happened because I had pushed it to happen...hell the guy didn't even like me back as I found out when he broke up with me.
I don't know if this is true, but one of my guy friends told me that guys can feel it when a girl is desperate for boyfriend. He says their general approach is more aggressive and wants to take things to the next level really fast. If you want a boyfriend, you need to wait for it. I know it's cliche and its probably not what you wanted to hear, but its the only way. Meanwhile, make friends with guys and get to know them better. Who knows? Maybe one of them will have a thing for you =) And...these things happen when you least expect it, so don't look for it =) I know that cuz my boyfriend right now is probably one of the last people I'd think I could date, and yet, by some a series of crazy events last year, we're together now. I'll leave you with these lyrics: "You can't hurry love, No you just have to wait, You gotta trust, give it time, No matter how long it takes" |

do you tend to be more shy while your best friends are more outgoing? tag along with them when they hang out with people so you can expand your circle of friends. join new clubs at school. ask people to all go see a movie and just hang out together. :)
or do you feel like you're just... blegh? i've gone through phases where i felt like nobody would ever date me, too, but trust me... don't stress about it too much. if you try too hard or stress about it too much, i think guys will know... i know it's hard, but wait it out. a lot of teenage relationships can be rocky and bring about tons of drama, so it's not like you're missing out terribly. boyfriends aren't essential to make you happy- on the other hand, they can complicate your life even more. try to take your mind off of things, you'll be surprised by the type of people who approach you in your life wanting a relationship! |

you're SO not broken...i'm in my first relationship right now and i'm 16 turning 17 in june. you WILL be okay. having a boyfriend isn't the most important thing in the world you know? just because you want a boyfriend doesn't mean you need a boyfriend. you should wait until you really like someone and try to persue him because you don't want to just have a boyfriend just to have one you know? lol. that's just me. =]

I'm sure lots of people in this world don't have boyfriends. You can find other things to do to occupy your time. You should join a club or something, who knows, maybe you'll meet a guy there. If you don't, you'll still have fun.

You really should just wait.
It's annoying waiting, but you'll appreciate the guy more. |

you lasso one, then bribe him. lol ![]() I think you should just try to do something else instead of only thinking about a boyfriend. Like go to the mall with friends, join clubs, try to talk to boys like their your friend and you never know you may find someone that is just like you and you might end up finding a great guy. Even if you dont you could make a whole lot more friends. |

don't get a boyfriend just for the sake of getting one. it's still a relationship that you have to work for. unless you are actually interested in the person, there's no point in starting a relationship. just wait instead of wanting something because everyone else has it. good things come to those who wait. |

Everyone else has summed it up. Don't force or try to get a boy friend. Just let it happen naturally. You'll enjoy it better and actually be happy. Besides it's true that some people don't have boy friends or girl friends until their in their late 20's, etc.

Oh God. Why is everyone worried about getting a boyfriend just because all their friends have one? I say...just wait it out and focus your energy on other things. And you'll eventually meet someone who will be your boyfriend...
