Hm, what are some things that you might find yourself interested in? Remember, pick something that you personally can look at both sides about. I wrote a persuasive paper on the Patriot Act. There were some times that I found it hard to look at it with the perspective of being someone on the other side.

Pick something you know and love. I had to write a paper on why 'under God' shoudl be taken out of the pledge... I haven't said the pledge in like five years so I totally didn't care about the topic. It was the most miserable assignment I have ever had.

I would recommend you to look around at the debate forum on cB and check out some really thoughtful topics that would be good for your persuasive essay.

well, pick a strong topic that you know a lot about,, and when you choose it/choose your side of the topic, make sure you have reasons + details + examples

like monokuro boo said, try looking at the debate forum.
or search on google for persuasive essay topics?

you could try doing certain things to get the ideas flowing. you don't want to pick a topic that only you are interested in. you want everyone to be interested in it. you can do newswatch and take a look at the news to find stories that other people are interested in. if you find one that you are interested in and know alot about on the news, you're in luck. you can also try a self-interview. in other words, thing about things that interest you. you can go around your school and ask people about their interests and tally up the results to see what people like. there are also other metods, like taking notes about topics on index cards, but i find those the most helpful. if you need any other help, feel free to pm me. :]]
