No, this isn't a piece of work.

But a question to the writers who post here;

Do you purposely sit down and write or type? Or do you do it on a whim? And what's most intriguing to me is:

How do you get the courage to post it?

I write when I'm stressed and depending on how deep I write, I either delete it or post it. Other times when I'm at school or when I'm out, I write and then I decide to post. It really does depend on what I write and how close it is to me and that is how I decide if I want to post it.

On a whim like you said. If I feel it might be worth showing others, I'll post it. Or if I really want to see how others will react to it.

OH and. When the I read something that inspires me. (Or watch)

I usually write on a whim. Awkwardly enough my whims come to me when I'm sleeping or something. If I feel like posting it or not...usually I don't right away or don't at all. I'll only post if it's something that I want people to read whether or not it gets responses or not.

The words are inside me before they go anywhere. I don't have a ritual of how they get out of me. If there is paper, I use it. If I am around a computer, I type it. Even better, if it's poetry, if I speak it into a device.

I just do it. It isn't about "courage" for me.

I want criticism, which is the key to becoming better. Evaluating what you've got and rereading it over and over- looking for those grammar errors, the unintended contradictions, the typos, the places where you could've worded it a little better- is imporant.

This gives me a chance to let it hang out there, come back to it, and look at it passively, and then activate trying to fix the minor problems of flow or lack of description.

This place is a working ground.
