Well I use to have hair to the end of my back for the longest time and I would donate it. I just washed my hair everyday for the most part and I would lightly blowdry with a somewhat warm hair dryer and then just let it air dry. I use to wear my hair up all the time and my hair never really had split ends or did it ever feel icky.

Oh I use to change shampoos & conditioners about every 3-6 months too..

I use a leave-in deep conditioner from Garnier Fructis and it really helps my hair, especially when I damage my hair by straightening, curling, or blowdrying it. I try not to overbrush my hair too.

for a while since i was a child, my mom made some rice hair shampoo, well it wasnt exactly "made" but it was basically rice water, and thats what she would use to wash my hair.....my hair grew so long, it was all the way to my butt....if i grew it out longer i think it would be all the way to my knees!!! but yeah..best way to keep nice long hair is to comb it daily....and good hygiene (spell check) and keep away from heat..

Deep condition and getting the ends trimmed. I think it's hard to have long hair if you have thin hair, or if your hair is just hard to manage.

I think it shouldnt be hard to keep nice long hair. Just take care of it. Trim it...dont cut it off...dont just let it go...wash it...bla bla bla.

You take care of it just like you would shorter hair.

- go for trims regularly so i don't end up with split ends (or at least, i try to)
- use this deep conditioning hair mask-product from tigi once a week
- don't overbrush the hair
- don't over-process the hair by blow drying a lot

->Trimming does help the ends but it doesn't help make it longer.
->Eat a vitamin [even the kid flinstones] because it will help make it longer quicker. Trust me it worked for me.
->Don't over style your hair with straighting or curling etc.
->Don't over brush and don't always keep your hair up.
->If you want to straighten or style your hair, use moose. But I perfer using a little of conditioner into your hair before styling it. It won't dry your hair unlike moose and hairspray.
-> For really dry hair [like mine]. Use hair serum
for example:

don't use pantene, I heard it damages your hair.
I use garnier fructis. Hope this helped thumbsup.gif
