Yeah, Daylight savings.
Remember to set your clocks an hour ahead.
[loosing sleep, boooo!] _dry.gif

DST Begins March 11th at 2 am.
Be sure to switch your clocks so you aren't
late for work tomorrow!

One of my kind, hungover employees reminded me of this this morning. lol.
"Yeah, come in late to work tomorrow, you have an excuse"

Daaang, one month earlier than usual. mellow.gif

I used to really not mind Daylight Savings Time, because I loved how the sun set so late, but now that I've thought about for a while, there's no freaking point.

Buuuut, I could be wrong about that, anyone care to elaborate about this whole thing started for me?

Gah, I'm like freaking out about the computer problem type deal that they're trying to solve.

Or did they solve it?

I'm so confused.

Lol

DURRRRR. tongue.gif

I think it depends on which timezone you are in, not which country. I know that in India's timezone, a time change isn't needed.

Some computers have been updated, but definitely not all. Things like cash machines and older computers who don't receive updates will be affected.

It should be fine. Macs have apparently fixed the problem with a patch. If your Windows Updates are enabled and you either download it or it happens automatically, you should be fine. Wasn't there a huge deal with Y2K? Nothing happened. That's not to say that something won't happen this time around, but I don't think it will.

Edit: Poo on you, Kaycee. :P

Benjamin Franklin came up with the original idea back in the day when they used to use oil and candles for light. He came up with this idea to save on oil and candles by setting the time to where the sun set later in the day. This allowed more light to work.

It's the same idea today. Just modernized. Today we do it to save on energy because people use more energy, as far as lighting, at night for obvious reasons. By having the sun set at a later time, this eliminates that factor. Instead of having your computer or TV and your lights on at the same time, you'll just have your computer or TV on.

I like spring forward. It means 'longer' days. _smile.gif
You might get less sleep but your body adjusts and sooner or later it feels the same.

laugh.gif I never ever remember to set the clocks forwards or back one. The cell phone does it on its own along with my computers so I guess I never had a real need to remember. Although the living room clock was never set an hour back because it was my responsibility. Oh well, guess I don't need to worry about it now wink.gif
