okay. i know i'm about to sound really stupid.
and i don't care. but anyway. how can you tell if this guy actually LIKES you, or if he's treating you as a best friend/sister type? because when you think about it, it seems so similar.. or atleast to me.. |

uhm. naw. i think they're different. If he likes you as a friend, he'll reach a certain limit and won't go beyond it. But if he likes you, he'll want to be alone with you sometimes. yah.. they're different.

damn if my brother teased me I would freak out.
But anyways, I don't know. You can't really tell with some guys, some guys just flirt around because they want to. Feed loneliness, whatever. But there are others that do it because they like you. If you think his signs are clear enough, just ask him playfully if he likes you. |

uhm. naw. i think they're different. If he likes you as a friend, he'll reach a certain limit and won't go beyond it. But if he likes you, he'll want to be alone with you sometimes. yah.. they're different. That's not true. I've seen friends act like they were dating. I've done it with one girl that I know. Everyone thought we were dating. I'm not saying I didn't like her, but still. We were just friends. Most of the people I know are just friends, but they sleep with each other like it's just chilling. So, unless you've got either a goody goody girl or a faggity ass boy in the friendship, then it will go as far as they want it to. Also, if a guy doesn't tell you he likes you, in the many ways that they can, then you should just know from all the different hints. It's not that hard to figure out. Not to sound rude or anything, but instead of coming on here for the littlest questions, think about it first. I'm not saying you didn't, but if a guy is showing extra attention to you, then it's pretty certain that he's at least some what attracted to you. Probably even more than 'some what.' So, just do that for me. Use your noodle. |

I'm really wondering about this too...
I have this close guy friend, and I get "the feeling" he likes me sometimes, but then sometimes it just seems like we're friends. But I wonder if maybe he just doesn't want to try anything to ruin our friendship |

A lot of guys I've seen tend to be flirty, so I don't really think that's the best way to tell whether he likes you or not, unless he's shy. But yeahh, I think a couple of signs would be that he pays extra attention to you & is really nice & sweet towards you. Oh, & he tries to impress you. ;]

Just ask them. You never know until you do.
They are similar though. |

You really can never tell for sure.... best thing you can do is ask when you have a good idea.

^ I agree. I don't think it's possible to ever have a definite "for sure" when it comes to emotions. I've had situations where I think that the guy does like me, but it turns out that no, I'm just a good friend. Or, when the guy doesn't give out certain signals, but they have been interested.

Right.. :] Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference, and when it becomes hard to tell the difference it's better to ask than assume. |
